A Teller County family is in need of a full sized mattress for a 12 year old boy. This child was found to be living in an unsafe, uninhabitable home for the past 5 months. He was not in school, and was struggling with his own health/mental health distress, due to his living environment and lack of support. After removal from this home, his aunt and uncle did not hesitate to rally around him immediately, despite having a toddler of their own and baby on the way. They are willing to be a long-term support while his parent stabilizes their mental health. These loving family members took him in, got him back into school, and provided him with a warm and nurturing environment. This family has done so much to provide their support, let's show them some support in return. The family would be greatly appreciative!

The mother in this case is needing another phone card to ensure that she has consisent communcation with her team. The mother is working on communicating with her treatment providers and her parenting time worker to ensure that she is making it to her scheduled time. The mother is currently struggling with getting to and from her parenting time and transportation has been set up but she will need a phone to be able to communicate with the provider. A kinship provider is seeking support in paying for the two kin-like children in her care to get swimming lessons. Male age 7 and Female age 15 have never taken formal swimming lessons and the kin provider believes it is an important skill for them to obtain. Swim lessons cost between $100-$200 depending on the place, individual/group format and consistency of attendance. The kinship provider has 4 children of her own and wants to ensure everyone has the same opportunities. If this need is met, any money given will go towards payment for swimming lessons this summer to ensure safety in the water.

Requesting multi-layered support for family, ongoing financial hardships and food insecurity. Single father of a 7th grade girl that gets minimal child support/assistance from her mother. He is currently employed as a ride share driver but has inconsistent work hours which directly impact the household income. Due to the varying work hours childcare/after school care is not easily accessible when school is not in session. The family was recently informed that they are no longer eligible for Medicaid or food stamps (the EBT program). The family often struggles, running low or out of essentials in between paychecks, with little extended family to assist when struggling. When speaking with the father, he is preparing for a possible move in August because of projected income struggles versus affordable rent.

The mother has completed her treatment and the father is in compliance with every aspect of his treatment plan, fully unsupervised with their baby, and nearing case closure. Assistance with this need so that the family can keep their child in home as they work towards case closure is greatly appreciated!
