Family needs a weighted vest for kiddo with high energy. School has recommended the family invests in a weighted vest for when he is unregulated and can't hold his attention. The family can't afford the vest but is in need of the vest due to lack of options left to help this kiddo.

Children's Division has been working with this family for some time. The father has been removed from the home for 20 days now and could go on to 30. The mother is doing ok at the moment, but believes she may need additional help with gas, food, utilities along the road. A link to a food pantry has been offered to her as well as a link to metro Lutheran has been sent to her as well to hopefully help out with some utilities. I would like to see if there is a way we can help them out with some gas at least until my case is reviewed in court.

This family is working on getting their finances in order, and are taking steps to continue to be financially stable. Dad has just gotten a new job, and is looking at moving to a more affordable apartment when the lease is up in January. he is current on all bills, however, his car payment has gotten out of hand, as he missed a few payments, and despite everything he is trying to do, he cannot seem to get ahead on his payments. He is worried that his car will be repossessed which will put his new job in jeopardy, as he will struggle to have reliable transportation to get there. He said if he could just get some help with getting back up to date on his car, he'll be in much better shape to continue working on staying financially stable, as well as keeping his credit at an ok spot so he can be approved for either a new apartment or a home loan. Dad and the social worker at the school are looking into veterans loan options as well, as he is a veteran and know that there are various assistance plans available to him through the military.

Need help in purchasing new football cleats and helmet visor for a 14 y/o boy who recently reunified with his mom. Throughout his time in care he changed between multiple placements and different schools. Despite the many transfers, the teenager maintained excellent grades and attendance and has been able to play football at each school. He is growing rapidly and needs new cleats and a required visor for his new team. Football is extremely important to him and he works hard to ensure he can play in addition to his educational goals. He has high hopes and aspirations to attend college and interest in computers/coding. He utilizes football as a healthy coping skill and gains many skills from his coaches and team such as teamwork, discipline, and physical exercise. Either the specific items or a gift card to a sporting goods store would help obtain the items and allow him to pick out the right fit/style himself as he is learning financial skills as a teenager such as how much items cost, how to shop around, and check out/pay for yourself. Helping meet this need would free up funds in the home for other necessary items.

Two single moms, each with 2 children, are in need of extra support. Although they are both employed, they struggle financially to make ends meet. They are in need of basic furniture items for their home, including a couch, a kitchen table with 6 chairs, a vacuum cleaner, and clothing storage items. A plastic dresser or storage cart for each child would be ideal. The children include a girl (age 10) and three boys (ages, 7, 4, & 4). Thank you for any help you may be able to provide. Having a table and chairs in time for Thanksgiving would be a blessing.

A working single mother of two, who's a client of our agency, desperately needs to purchase a reliable used car. She had a car, but it needs repairs that she can't afford and that cost more than the car is worth. She can put down as much as $1,500 but needs her monthly payment to be between $200 and $300. Her credit is not good because her ex-husband racked up some debts, then disappeared and literally left her holding the bag.
Looking for resources who can help her find a reliable car ASAP. She needs to purchase it within a week.

Mother and father had twins 4 months ago that were born extremely premature. Unfortunately, the parents experienced the loss of patient’s twin sibling shortly after birth. Their only child remains admitted to the hospital, where she has been since birth while she continues to work on breathing and feeding needs. It is not only difficult to have a newborn admitted to the hospital, but to have another one of your children not survive is unfathomable.
This experience has caused even additional hardship for this family. Parents work in the helping profession, so finances have been tight. Both parents returned to work, but due to the stress of the situation mother has had to take some time off work to ensure she is able to be the best parent she can be when baby comes home. Once baby comes home, mother would like to take an additional 6 weeks off work so she can bond and have a true maternity leave experience. This will be unpaid leave for her.
While mother is at home for those 6 weeks, they are at risk of not having enough money to cover their rent. As such, parents would benefit from having the help of at least $1000, which will help cover 2 months’ rent so mother can spend some time at home bonding.
If family can’t get help, mother will have to continue working when patient first comes home, which is heart wrenching for any new parent.
Any help would be great to help family out and I know they will be truly appreciated by them.
A mother is moving into her own apartment. She is moving from transitional living. She has been residing here with her 15 month old child. This mother is in need of financial assistance in obtaining a u-haul in order to get furniture from a community resource. Without the help of this financial assistance (gift card), the mother will not be able to obtain furniture for herself and he child.

LaNisha:
Hello,
I hope you are well.
From the request, it was mentioned that the 12 yr old boy is in need of a twin bed. I have a member at my church who has a twin bed and box spring in good condition that she would like to donate to someone who needs it. Would this family be interested?
