A family is in need of assistance to help them get caught up so that the children do not enter care. The kids are staying with a grandparent and the family has recently lost a family member. The kids have come to stay with them unexpectedly. and they are tryig to navigate their new financial situation. In the meantime they are needing some assistance. There are multiple utilities that are overdue. Some of the other things that have been requested are gas cards, food vouchers, clothing for the kiddos, as well as twin size blankets. The kid's sizes are girls 5 to 6 and boys 7 to 8.
16 yo Female that is home with mom who has been having difficulties with running away, and her mom has to stop working in order to keep her eye on her. The Clay County Children's Division is requesting 20 drug vouchers be purchased from Northland Dependency. These vouchers are $20 each and can be pre-paid by contacting Northland Dependency in Liberty and asking for Bridget or Kayla. These vouchers are used when drug use is a concern on open cases and can help assess parental capacities and help ensure safety of children. Once purchased, someone from Children's Division can pick up the vouchers.
Clay County Children's Division often has children brought into emergency care with nothing but what they have on. Sometimes this is a baby with only a diaper and a onesie and sometimes it's a teenager with too small clothing and no shoes. Every child deserves clean, comfortable clothes as well as hygiene items to make them feel as best as they can in a very scary time of their life. We want to ensure that every child in need has the opportunity for these items. To ensure that we can fulfill this need for any child, we have to have a range of clothing and items for ages preemie to age 18. Thank you for your consideration.
Special Instructions:
Items may be dropped off at Clay County Children's Division. Clothing items may be gently used.
A smart & vibrant 10- year old has been placed in the care of her aunt for the past two years. She has gone through all of the steps to take guardianship of this youth & is awaiting guardianship any day now. The youth is in need of some things that the aunt is unable to provide at this time. She is in need of some summer clothing, girls size 10 tops & shorts, women's shoes size 6.5. or 7 tennis shoes. If you are able to help out with this need it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Clothing is needed also for girl 18 months and boy 4T/5T as she does not have much extra clothing. This is a one time investment as the caregiver just needs help with these items. Our older youth was in florida when she was pulled over for driving without headlights on, and driving without a license. She was driving to pick up her 6 month old daughter from the person who was watching her. This youth has been trying to work and get the money to pay for the tickets but the cost of having her daughter, and getting her the items that she needs comes first. The tickets are $113 and $166. we are desperately trying to help her pay this so that she does not get a warrant issued for not paying the fines. She has been an amazing mother to her daughter, and this has been a stressful situation for her.

A single mother of 4 kids. Mom has experienced homelessness and in February 2023 got a home for her and her kids. She does not work and is needing help paying her rent for the month. Mom is great and working hard to get back on her feet. $230 is needed as soon as possible. Updated on May 30, 2023 by an Agency Worker The mother of this family has followed up with me several times regarding this need. If there are any churches who could do part of the $230 that is needed, that would work as well.

Children who we have in foster care are given presents when it is their birthdays by our staff. Sometimes this means that staff are spending their own money on these gifts. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have been able to have a birthday closet, but our birthday closet is in need of restocking for gifts for various ages. Thank you!

Family recently moved to a new home and the home did not come with a refrigerator. They do not have the money to purchase a refrigerator at this time and the landlord is not providing one for them. There are 6 children in the home, ages 1 year-11 years.
There are also concerns about the children's safety with opening the door to strangers. There is a lock on the front door, but the young children know how to unlock it and open the door. They have opened the door to strangers in the past, so we are also requesting door knob covers or locks or door guards to prevent the younger children from opening the door.

I have a refrigerator that is in good shape, however, one of the shelves need some TLC...maybe some duct tape to reinforce it from bottoming out if food is on it...and it might need a little spring cleaning. They are welcome to it if they are interested.

Hello! Crittenton Children's center is seeking assistance for help with utilities for a family who recently moved to Missouri from Tennessee. This family has no relatives here in Missouri. The court has approved the mother's children be returned home (ages 15, 13, 12 and 7) so long as the mother begins utilizing intensive in-home services (IIS) immediately and the services remain in place upon her children are returned home. This worker was given pre-approval that this family will qualify. With the removal of the children from Mom's home it has caused emotional distress and lack of motivation. Most recently, the mother was offered employment with the Cheesecake Factory. However, she is now experiencing car problems. However, she is familar and willing to ride the bus. In addition to the car issues, the mother is unable to begin working because she doesn't have a state ID. She is unable to purchase an ID due to no lack of funds. She is in need of financial assitance to aleviate some of the stress she's experiencing. The mother is in need of a state ID. She believes the cost of the ID is $18-$20. Additionally, the mother has fell behind on some of her utility bills and is panicking. Mom can truly benefit from a fresh start as a result of getting help with her utilites. The mother is in need of help with her: Electric bill (Evergy) - $109, Water bill (KC Water) - $78, Gas Bill (Spire) - $110 and State ID: $18-$20
Any help is appreciated, thank you! Updated on May 01, 2023 by an Agency Worker Hi, the incorrect zip code was entered, the correct zip code for this request (125213) is 64129.
