My provider is a single mother who currently has two of her own biological children in her home and also fosters another through EPC. My provider shared that her work over-scheduled employees for the work week and had asked her not to go in. My providers shared that this has caused her financial stress and is need of assistance from the department. My provider shared that she would need assistance with groceries. The completion of this request would ensure that we are preserving this kinship placement and are proactive in assisting our kinship providers.

A grandmother of a boy (DOB: 1/31/2017), took him into her home in December. This significantly increased her expenses. Her car recently broke down and requires costly repairs that have created a financial burden for her. She depends on her car to get her grandson to his appointments and her own. A visa gift card in the amount of $400.00 would be a huge blessing to her so that she can get the car repaired. Thank you in advance for your consideration!

We are reaching out on behalf of a young woman in the Foster Youth in Transition (YIT) program and her boyfriend, who are both working hard to support themselves and others in need and are in need of food assistance. In addition to covering their own expenses, they are currently providing housing and care for her aunt, who has diabetes and is unable to work, as well as a 17-year-old boy who recently became homeless after his father was incarcerated. While they both work full-time and regularly utilize food banks, their limited income is stretched thin after paying rent and essential bills, leaving little to no money for groceries. This couple is doing everything they can to keep their household stable, but they are in urgent need of grocery assistance to continue supporting themselves and the two individuals depending on them. Any help with food support would be deeply appreciated.

DHS is currently working with a family that has a very bad infestation of mice and because of this the child has been removed from the home until this situation is dealt with. There are several items in the home that needed to be thrown out and replaced because it cannot be washed/sanitized or is beyond repair. We are asking for the following donations: bed for mom (full size with bedding), large totes to store food and personal items in for both mom and son, cleaning supplies, couch, shower curtain and rings. All prices are from Walmart.com and we will accept anything donated also! We would appreciate any assistance you can provide this family so we can get her son back into the home. Thank you!

This one might be a little different than normal. I am working with an 11 year old boy who is has high medical needs. He has many needs and his mother passed away a few years ago so his grandmother has stepped up to take care of him and his sister. He is wheelchair bound and has minimal verbal skills.

Grandma needs help with household things such as plumbing and outside work if people are willing to donate their time. Also she is in need of 2 twin beds, bedding, shower curtain, and shower chair for the 11 year old. Please let me know if any of this is possible.

Trying to reunite a 10-year-old girl with her mother. The family has experienced homelessness in the past and the mother recently got a new apartment. The child does not have any bedroom furniture or bedding. We would love to transition the child smoothly back into the home with her mother so any help would be appreciated. The child loves Taylor Swift and Squishmallows. She also loves drawing, coloring, and other crafting projects.
