The mother's 3-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son with autism are enrolled in summer camp activities; however, the mother lacks the financial resources to pay the fees for her children to participate in the summer camp activities. The mother is proactively working toward financial self-sufficiency through taking classes to earn her GED and searching for gainful employment; however, due to unexpected financial burdens, the mother is lacking the funds to cover the cost of camp for her two younger children. The caseworker can meet the donor at a time and location convenient for him/her to collect a gift card or cash, after which point the caseworker will directly pay the provider for the cost of camp.

A Teller County teenager is in dire need of financial support to purchase clothing, toiletries, and other basic needs. This steadfast 17-year old was living on the streets with one biological parent in another state, and came to Teller County in an attempt to reunite with her other biological parent after many years apart. Unfortunately, this situation turned out to be just as unfortunate and unhealthy, and required the intervention of Teller County DHS, which located alternate living arrangements for her. This child is in need of clothing and supplies because what she had was thrown out with trash and animal feces. Please consider helping this persevering young woman, who has a job, wants to finish high school, and has plans to attend trade school. If you have it in your hearts and wallets, the Department respectfully asks for Walmart or Visa gift cards to allow this teen to choose her own items. Thank you for your consideration, community!

They are asking for support in paying down their CO Springs Utilities bill until they hear back from the Low Income Engergy Assistance Program (L.E.A.P) program they applied for.
