UPDATE:( Family has received 2000.00 towards rent ) so awesome yes Lord. God is so good so good ' We serve a big God and this is a big request. So lets see what happens. Single mom undocumented dad has been charged with sex crimes against step daughter. Dad was the only income so the family has been relying on churches to pay bills for 8 months While the family's rent although through dads brother has remained unpaid. There was false promises made by KERA to help they never did. Also false promises by other agency's that have left mom kids and landlord uncle in a financial crisis. He told me last night mom is behind 14,000.00 in rent. So he is in a huge bind. So my hope is that several churches can come together to get some back rent paid. This is a sad situation where the system has failed this family. So...... big God big need very likely uncle will need to evict soon if no help is given Pray hard and lets trust God and see what he does. Blessings Chuck

A single mom of a kindergartener needs immediate housing due to a fire. Belongings are almost a total loss. Mom has not requested assistance prior to this experience, despite mom having a lot of unfortunate events occur that were beyond her control. A year and a half ago, both of mom's retinas detached causing vision impairment among other medical issues. Due to this, employment and thus income became limited. As a result mom does not have savings to use towards emergency housing needs. At the urging of this school social worker, mom found an affordable apartment with an immediate move in date. The leasing office and mom completed a budget and confirmed the targeted apartment is a good financially sustainable fit for the family. Additionally, if able to rent, the kindergartener would not have to change schools. Mom immediately needs $210 (deposit & application fee) to secure the apartment. Within 10 days of approval in order to move in, mom needs $500 towards deposit and $1055 which is one month's rent and utilities combined. Any help towards this will be greatly appreciated.

2 boys, aged 10 and 14, were taken into protective custody Friday 01.27.2023. They have been placed with a family member. The 14 year old has a significant bed wetting problem and the family is needing a mattress protector, extra full size sheets, and/or mattress pads. Neither child has ever attended a school before and will be attending Plattsburg School District. The boys are in need of back packs, notebooks, pencils, pens, or other school items. The family has been connected to the food stamp program for help acquiring food for the children however, this will take about 1 week to have in place. They are in need of food items. The boys do not have basic cooking skills and the relative placement works full time. If possible, the food should be something they can make.
A relative placement is in need of a 5 pound fire extinguisher for licensure requirements to continue to keep the two children under two in their home. Assistance in payment or getting one for them would be appreciated! This is needed by Thursday February 2, 2023.

This child is an 8 year old boy who struggles with social skills. He is currently really struggling at school with his friends and classmates because he is having a hard time with social cues. His grandmother, teacher and therapist are worried for this child because he is very social and loves acceptance from peers and others, but he is struggling with showing appreciation for his peers and is only wanting appreciation himself. This has been going on for a few months and he is now occasionally getting asked to leave the classroom, sit in the principals office and or even leave school because he has been causing disruptions in class with his peers so much so that he gets so worked up and begins crying and cant be calmed down. His grandmother is requesting help paying for a social skills program for this child. It is $40 for each session. I know his grandmother would be very appreciative of any aide, he is a great kid, very caring, kind and funny, he is just struggling with some social skills at this time. Thank you.
