The Department is currently working with a 17 y/o youth (f) who is working towards her independence and learning her independent living skills. This youth has been in care since 2021 and has struggled to stay stable in one placement and to experience stabilization. This youth is about to graduate from high school on May 13th, 2025, on time, as school was a priority for her regardless of her instability. This youth has experienced instability just two weeks prior to graduation and needed to cancel many of her prior appointments. This youth is not able to fund an appointment to get her nails done which she was looking forward to, to feel good for one of her biggest accomplishments. This youth would love nothing more to have money to get her nails done! Anything and everything is so appreciated to help this youth feel as special as she is walking across the stage!!!

a newborn baby girl is in need of a crib, newborn diapers, and infamil neuro pro formula (yellow can). the baby was placed in a kinship home with her half brother and was born just last week.

Mom is currently transient but has been very communicative with her team with the available resources she has. She is engaging, as much as possible. Unfortunately, the phone she had was stolen so she has been unable to speak directly with her team. She needs a phone and service to be successful with working towards reunification with her 4 month old son.

A father of three (boys 6 and 4, girl 2) cannot keep his phone on and therefore cannot stay in touch with his treatment providers and is unable to communicate with his family time supervisor. This is impacting his ability to find better work, stay engaged with his children, and work towards reunification. A $50 phone card would be so helpful to this dad and help him stay on top of changing schedules and reunite his family. Thank you for your generosity!

A three-year old boy was recently placed in his grandmother's care. The child did not come with very much clothing and the clothing they do have, they are quickly growing out of. The grandmother is on a single-income and is struggling financially so, they are not able to purchase clothing for the child. The child is in size 5T and is in need of mostly summer clothing. The family is requesting help with any of the items listed or a gift card to Walmart to help purchase clothing for the child. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

This request is for a teenage youth who is currently placed with kin-like caregivers and has expressed to caregivers and the Caseworker that he feels ready to begin driver's education classes and earn his driver's license, which would help him find employment. The youth would like to be enrolled in the American Driving Academy's Colorado Springs Full Program. The Full Program includes 30-Hour Classroom Learning, Driver’s Permit Test, and 6 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Instruction. The total cost of the program is estimated to be $495.00. This need being met by the community would greatly ease the financial stress of this youth's kin-like placement, who took in the youth unexpectedly

The department is working with a 20 year old girl that has faced abuse in the past and as a result has become very independent and very hard working, she currently has 2 jobs and is getting ready to start a 3rd. This month she experienced some unexpected expenses and is now facing not being able to pay rent this month for an apartment that she lives in with a peer. This youth is also preparing for her 21st birthday and will be aging out in just a few short months. Any help would be apreciated by this youth! Thank you!

We have a special needs student that is being raised by an Aunt and Uncle. They are struggling with their own bills and are having a hard time supporting their nephew. They have food insecurities at home and are unable to purchase new clothing for the student. We are requesting a gift card from Walmart to support both of these needs. I have a kinship provider who is caring for her 1 year old grandson. She is requesting help with a jogger stroller so she can take her grandson on walks for her health and his. A Walmart baby trend journey jogger stroller can be purchased for $109.00 online before tax. Or a Walmart gift card would be appreciated so she can purchase a stroller herself. This request involves a 19-year-old female who is a high-risk sex trafficking survivor and currently part of the Foster Youth and Transition Program. She was recently reunified with her grandmother and is now living independently under her care. Due to enuresis (involuntary urination), there has been significant soiling on the carpets in the home. The grandmother is seeking community support to professionally sanitize the carpets. This cleaning is crucial for maintaining a safe, healthy, and dignified living environment, which is especially important for the youth's recovery, mental well-being, and sense of stability. The impact would help restore a clean, sanitary living space, reduce health risks, and support the youth's transition toward independent, stable living. It would also ease the burden on the grandmother, allowing her to continue a nurturing and supportive home.
