Leah's Hope is a transitional housing program that supports women in crisis gain stability. Our newest participant is a 19 year old single mother with a 2 year old daughter. This mother does not currently have her own transportation, so she must utilize public transportation, rides from friends or family, or walking. Safety is a concern when she is walking with her daughter, because she does not have a stroller. We are needing assistance with getting a traditional stroller for this toddler (not an umbrella stroller) who is 2 years old and weighs 32 pounds. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am working a prevention case with a single mother and her three children. The mother is currently looking for employment. She is also participating in substance abuse services and doing everything the department has asked of her, to include maintaining her sobriety and providing clean drug screens. The children are in high need of clothing and new/used shoes. This family (and I) would be grateful for any help.

We have a very loving and caring resource family that has very recentky taken in 3 children and have not been approved to receive stipend yet. Resource parent stated children is in desperate need of socks and one of the children desperately needs shoes. If you could please reach out to me asap if youre able to help this wonderful family. I am the School Based Social Services worker for a family of three. The caretaker is partially blind and does not have access to transportation. Two of her children attend Epic Schools and are needing help getting to and from their school site for testing. These would be two visits that would require an Uber or taxi service. The family is aware that these services only cover a direct route from their home to the Epic site and back, no deviations are allowed. The amount provided is an estimate, but may be lower than the request. These tests are critical to their educational advancement and missing the dates would hinder their eventual graduation. Your assistance would mean a lot for the family.

This request is for neighbors of RestoreOKC. This is an older couple raising their teenage children ages 13, and 14 who need household furniture for the whole house, and they also need rental assistance. The mother and father are unable to work due to health conditions. The father receives SSI, and it was recently stolen, and SSI is doing an investigation on the report. So, this has put the family behind for rent from last month. RestoreOKC would love for a church to come along and help this family with support, love and kindness.

Summer, Summer, Summer TIME!! Our kiddos want to play outside!! I've got 2 rambunctious beautiful 5-year-old girls who both would love to have their very own FIRST bikes! Summer is here and what could be better than learning how to ride your very own first bike along side your very best friend and soon to be forever sister, not to mention all of the confidence these amazing little girls will gain right before starting kindergarten next year! HOORAY to becoming big girls! I have included links to possible bikes for each of the girls however, we will be extremely grateful for any donations!

Spring is in the air and our kiddos want to play outside!! You can make 2 very busy 5 year old girls very happy by helping this home with a trampoline! These 2 girls will soon be adopted by our single mom on a limited budget. Let's get these girls outside laughing and playing (and hopefully a little worn out from playing hard)! We have a family friend fostering a teen girl while raising 5 children on her own as a single mother. Foster mom’s youngest child has an eventual fatal disease and over the weekend was admitted to the hospital. Foster mom has had to take off work multiple times due to her daughter’s disease and loses pay for the days when she cannot work. Foster mom is needing assistance with her water bill as she recently had to pawn her favorite necklace to be able to pay for the phone and internet. Foster mom is going through a very tough time right now. If you can help her with this utility bill, we would be so grateful. Thank you.

I have a single father of 4, he has a job and a vehicle but the air conditioning in his Dodge Durango needs repaired. OKDHS is recommending reunification for the client and his children. Currently, my client travels to and from to pick-up and bring the children back to the foster home on weekends for unsupervised visits. With the temperature warming up, the children will need A/C in the vehicle during the long car rides to and from. Any assistance with the a/c repair will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, we are needing a clothing need met for a 10 year old boy who was removed from his mother on Friday and placed into a safety plan with a kinship home. He arrived with no clothing and the family has been unable to access any of his clothing. He clothing size is a 10/12 or 14/16. He wears a size 6 or 7 youth shoe. He will need shirts, socks, underwear, pants and if possible a pair of pajamas as well. Three to four outfits would significantly help to meet his need and is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much,

This family is a family of 5. The mother is a single mom who has recently been reunified with her 4 children. The mother is currently working and has just recently saved up enough money to purchase herself a vehicle. The vehicle has helped the mom be able to provide safe transportation to get her children to and from school and to all of their services, and her job. Due to all of the recent changes and the purchasing of her car, the mother has come up short of her rent payment. She is still in need of $550 for the month of April. The payment would be made directly to the housing manager. Thank you so much for your support!

A mother and father need bus passes to get to and from services and family time with their child. The mother and father have been attempting to complete services but transportation is a big barrier. The bus passes would help the mother and father get one step closer to reunification.
