We are requesting a motel night for 2 more nights. The mother and small child are waiting on an opening at a shelter or for the alleged perp to be moved from the shared residence. We thought this would happen today, but it is not going to move as fast as we wanted. Shelters have been contacted and waiting on an opening or approval. The mother and child could use a gas card and some food either taken to them or by way of gift card to price chopper or hyvee.

Family is getting evicted from home and need a place to stay until their new home gets inspected. Family can stay at mosque but need a place to store big items. Family either needs money for storage or someone willing to store their big items.

A biological dad is at risk of being evicted from his home. He does not currently have transportation to get to and from work. This is causing for his Uber expenses to take over his extra funds. His apartment complex told him he has until Monday to get his rent caught up or he will be evicted. Getting this need met will help him keep his home for him and his children.

Family of 4 is currently in need of assistance with their electric bill. Family has fallen behind on bills the last few months due to unforeseen circumstances. Legal issues have impacted the whole family unit but specifically the parents' attendance at work which has impacted their normal income over the last few months. Parents are actively trying to get caught up on bills and one parent is working two jobs. Per parent, the total behind amount is $2129 and needing they are needing $1843.15 to restore service. Parent has reached out St. Vincent De Paul and they’re unable to help until account is under $400. One parent will get paid later next week and will have funds to contribute to the bill but any additional aid to offset some of the bill is greatly appreciated. A Hillcrest Helping Hands referral will be made as well.

Grandmother caring for her granddaughter is needing assistance in paying her electric bill. Grandmother is disabled and recently lost her husband which has led to recent financial hardship. Electric company has stated they are going to disconnect service on 7/2/25 if the bill is not paid.

Sibling set of four moved in with grandparents to help preserve cultural connections. Grandparents recently moved to a larger space to accommodate the youths.

Family needs help picking up equipment from a storage unit and bringing it to their home. This will ensure siblings can maintain in a safe and appropriate placement.

Four children have reintegrated back home with their mother and father. Due to family having bug issues they had to get rid of their previous two twin mattresses. The beds would be for the twin 9 year old girls.

The family is from another country, and the mother and father speak two different dialects of language, so drop off of the beds would need to be coordinated through an interpreter or through me, I would be happy to help, since it is more complicated than normal.

Single mom who recently split with her ex due to a domestic violence situation. When her ex left the home, he took her washer and dryer. Mom has 3 kids under the age of 5 in the home and is struggling to afford to go to the laundry mat to wash and dry clothes. Mom is in need of a washer and an electric dryer. Mom reports that she has the hoses for the washer and the vent hose for the dryer. Gently used washer and dryer would be greatly appreciated.

In an effort to make her home more comfortable for a child, placement for a 16-year-old girl bought two air purifiers to help with the child's pet allergies. Placement would like to be reimbursed for the purchase.

Single mother of 5 is at risk of getting her energy shut of due to a bill she is not able to pay. Mother is not able to work due to specific reasons. Family is waiting for more assistance from the government that they have already been approved for, so they will hopefully be better of soon.

Family with six children is struggling financially, specifically with their city utility bill. They are behind, and have not been able to catch back up. They are requesting funds to cover the cost of this bill, which will get them caught up.

This request is for two single mothers who have merged their households together to strengthen their support systems for their children. These two families have a total of four children under the age of 5. These two mothers are essentially starting over in a new apartment with no furniture and no basic necessities to run the household. One family was previously in a domestic violence situation that they are recovering from and are in need of community supports because the father destroyed all of their belongings. The other mother is trying to start over and enrolling in school. The families are in need of bedroom furniture, living room furniture and kitchen utensils. We know that all of these needs might not be able to be met but any help to support these two women and their children starting over would be greatly appreciated.
