The parents are both mentally limited. The father usually works but injured himself two months ago. The father has been out of work for 2 months and will not return until September. The family is engaged with multiple prevention services. They have a 1 yr old baby in the home. The home was extremely warm during a home visit done the other day. The family could use 2 window air conditioning units. The child currently sleeps in a pack n play. The child could probably use a crib for another couple of years or a toddler bed.

Our clinic is running low on basic supplies to give new mothers when baby comes. We assemble layette bags to gift to new moms and offer continued practical support until their child reaches 2 years of age. Most of our mothers are members of the community struggling to make ends meet, trying to navigate insurance, and figure out how to prepare for the arrival of their child. We could use help with acquiring newborn diapers as well as a few other sizes, clothing, pacifiers, and bottles. We have assembled an Amazon wish list (Go To Link listing some of our needs as we help our moms prepare for their new babies and the moms who come back for support as their baby grows.

Hello - DHS is working with a mom who is requesting help purchasing a lawn mower. This mothers lawn mower has broken and she needs help buying a new one. This caseworker found a lawn mower at Walmart for 130. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hello, this is a request for 2 beds and bedding for a 9 and 14 year-old girls so that they may reunify with their mother. The mother has worked hard to reunify with her children, completing all of the services that she was required, all while working full time. She has made great strides and is close to full reunification with her girls. The girls have been on an extended visit with her in her one bedroom apartment until she was able to secure a two bedroom on July 1st. She is asking for help in obtaining one full size bed with bedding (14 year old likes Black, Dk Grey or White) and one twin size bed with bedding (9 year old likes White, Pink or Purple). DHS is working with a father who is currently residing in Ellicott, CO and is visiting his 1 year old daughter in Colorado Springs twice. He is having trouble being able to afford gas since he comes to Colorado Springs three times a week. I am hoping to be able to get a gift card for gas. Thank you!

A family with two children recently took in two dogs from their sister. The dogs almost had their sister evicted from her apartment, and now they are faced a similar dilemma. If they don't find a home for the dogs, they could be evicted. The family is looking for a home for the two dogs. They searched rescue sites and no kill shelters but hasn't received any help or support. Please help support this family by either taking in the dogs or by spreading the word.

Hello! Church, we have an opportunity to come alongside a single mom who is a member at Wildwood & help support her as she cares for the older bio siblings (brothers ages 9 & 12) of her adopted son. The brothers are still in foster care and need care for a period of 10 days in July. To say yes, the single mom needs childcare for the boys while she is at work. There are openings at a local day camp for both boys. The cost for 7 days of camp for both boys is $700. Please keep this family in your prayers - pray specifically for the time the three brothers will have together.
