A 17-year-old boy who lives with his elderly maternal grandmother needs to obtain his driver's license. He is a very responsible teenager who goes to school regularly, has a job, is involved in multiple sports, and uses his extra time to spend it with his family. He not only needs his driver's license so that he step into adulthood properly, but he also wants to be able to visit his parents who don't live close, be able to go to school/games/work without delay waiting on other people, and be able to get his sister to and from school and other services she needs because she also lives with her paternal grandmother and she works hours that sometimes interfere with getting her to and from school. Link to what the youth is requesting:
Jeanette:
Does he need someone to teach him to drive or is he just asking for the self taught course? I know that includes working with someone to sign off on the work and the to drive with him for the practical work.
Youth in need of fees for driving test. Having her DL is the first step in the youth's goals of independence. She has passed her written test and consistently been practicing her driving skills in order to be ready for the driving test. This next step will allow new doors and opportunities of advancement for the youth that will bring about stability and independence!
Youth aging out of care/homeless without critical support in need of funds for driving test. Youth has been diligently working at practicing driving and learning the rules of the road, and is ready to take her driving test. She is in need of funds for the fees. With her DL, the youth will have greater access to college, job opportunities, and other support resources that will enable her to thrive!
A kinship caregiver took on the needs of a 2-year-old little boy in order to keep him with his older sibling. This kinship caregiver took in these kids with a house full of kids of her own already. She is limited on space and is having kids share beds right now. Due to the increase in kids, funds are allocated to maintain the basic needs and function of the family, food, and education. She is looking at obtaining a bunk bed to help our kids have their own bed and be able to feel like individuals and sleep well at night. This will help immensely and she will be grateful for any help.
A kinship family needs help with daycare costs incurred while caring for a family member's 1 year old baby while the parent was not a safe option for the child. The family stepped up for the child when no other family member was able to. The kinship family is on a fixed income as one of them is disabled. Therefore, the child needed daycare in order for the placement to work. Unfortunately, CCMS had some issues processing the daycare and the family had to pay out of pocket for a month and is unable to afford the large bill. Any amount will help. The amount can be paid directly to the daycare to help lower the bill for the family. If the bill is not paid, the child may be dropped from the daycare which could disrupt the placement. The kinship family intends to adopt the child as soon as legally able.
A mom of a precious 3-year-old boy has been unemployed for some time now, unable to find work due to needing to be home with her son. She has been trying to find mobile jobs, but hasn't been successful. She's been able maintain basic needs of shelter and food for her family, but her son has been outgrowing his clothes and shoes. She has few items that actually fit him now and no shoes that fit at this point. He wears 4t in pants and shirt and size 9 in shoes. He likes blues, greens, browns, and reds.
Please help this young family in need keep their apartment. My clients are Spanish speaking refugees from Venezuela and just had a baby. and need help. The parents are very young but doing everything they can to become American citizens and raise their child. Due to the fathers age, he is struggling with a job even though he’s a high school graduate in.Venezuela. This family is facing eviction if they do not get this help! Please help this family keep their child’s home.
Youth aging out of care/homeless without critical support in need of funds for driving test fees. Youth has been practicing driving and learning the rules of the road, and is ready to take the driving test! With a license, the youth can reach new job, educational, and support opportunities that will help him thrive towards independence!
Kinship caregivers are in need of help in purchasing baby proofing items for their home. They are caring for their 5 month old granddaughter. She is almost crawling and they are working on obtaining their foster license. Caregivers are in need of toilet lid locks, magnetic cabinet locks, drawer latches, and outlet covers.
A single mother of two children, 11 year old son and 16 year old daughter. Mother is needing services to help her clean her home. Her son has behavioral issues that causes him to destroy items in their home and mom works full-time, so it is hard for her keep her home as tidy as she would like. She previously worked with a cleaning company but she is not able to afford it as of recent due to it being too expensive.
The Department has PMC of the two children in need as their parents are awaiting trial in jail and have not been a big part of the children't lives in two years. The Department is requesting assistance with insurance for Chromebooks needed for school to assist the children with working during school hours and doing homework. The children are in a group home that is only able to meet their basic needs.
there is a large family who have almost no furniture in the home. they have a pile of dirty clothes because they have no washer or dryer. the family has a low income and needs help. Updated on August 30, 2023 by an Agency Worker Some of the items in the request have been fulfilled (all of the car and booster seats) by the CAC. The family only needs beds, mattresses, bed sheets, and a washer/dryer now. They need the washer/dryer most of all. Those are items that the CAC cannot really obtain.
There are 6 kids in the home-
8 yo girl
6 yo boy (with autism)
5 yo girl
3 yo boy
2 yo boy
And a 1 yo girl
This family would greatly benefit from a washer/dryer and would actually eliminate many of the concerns CPS has been receiving about the family
The children's biological parents are not involved and are being cared for by their grandparents and aunt. Grandfather and Aunt have severe medical problems. The family does not have any working air conditioning within the home and both the grandfather and aunt passed out due to the heat within the home. The family also needs help with cleaning the home. The family could need as much support as possible in order to keep them together and prevent anyone else from passing out.
Emily:
We have a window unit that currently works & has just been sitting in the garage. My husband just plugged it in to test it out & it works great.

Tiffani:
We would like to help with the cleaning. I have a couple of questions, if someone could reach out please.
Youth is struggling to make and maintain meaningful relationships. She is struggling in school as it relates to her grades, behavior, and relationships with her peers and educators. She has no motivation to complete school work or household chores.
Youth will be entering high school for the 2023-2024 school year. She will be starting a dog walking business for the summer. The hope with the business is that she will learn skills that she can apply throughout her life. She will build relationships and be more equipped to enter the 9th grade. By assisting her with supplies that she will need she will be encouraged to improve her behavior. She loves dogs and is motivated to make her pet a support animal and will use the money that she earns to buy things that she needs.
Shana:
I’d love to fund part of her startup costs for her business!

There are resources made available from the community to fill this request. If y’all could let me know the specific items and where to purchase, as well as delivery or pick up instructions, I can take care of purchasing. Online is preferable if possible.
Please call, text, or email with any questions.
