Single working mom of 1 teenage boy currently staying with family 30 minutes away from his school due to AEP cutting her electricity off prior to her being able to work on a solution. Mom has attempted to get other solutions and is maintaining other bills at this time. Mom is driving her son to and from school at this time and child has good attendance. The total bill is $1,219.84 but to restore services it is $1,047.74.

Single mother with 3 teenage children with the oldest (15) being special needs (wears diapers and nonverbal) and youngest being 12 working to get better housing for herself and children after recent separation. Mother has found a place and landlord and is awaiting a confirmation. Mother has money for rent but needs assistance with the deposit as she has a lower paying wage in food service industry. The deposit is a month's rent of $895.

Family's living conditions were in dire state. Family was temporarily displaced to work on the home, family has made amazing progress on the home but still have a ways to go and need some bigger items to help accomplish a suitable living situation. Smallest child is 5 months old and is at risk due to current home conditions. Dad works full-time and mom is a stay at home mom whom homeschools her 12 year old and then takes care of an small infant. Fathers disable mom moved in with the family when her husband passed away. Life circumstances became overwhelming for the family and the living situation took a hard hit to a point it was not safe for the kids in particular the infant to remain in the home. Family came together and assisted on initial cleaning and organizing and was able to greatly improve the condition of the home. The kitchen floor is being removed by family and a temporary dumpster for outside would greatly help in the removal process for the floor as well some outside hazards in the yard and surrounding area. Family also needs a lawn mower as they only have a weedeater and the yard is too large for weed eating only. They need a new vacuum to aid in sweeping the house as there is carpet in places. and lastly a couch is needed. Current couch has had a rodent infestation and lost of the cushions are missing significant filling where the rodents have removed it and it is part of what is in the carpet that is needing swept with a vacuum.

Family has obtained a vacuum on their own and it is no longer needed

Mom and children are located here in Marion, and mother is a single mom of 4 children that are in her care. Mom escaped a domestic violence situation and while going through that she lost her job but has hopes of returning to work at a new job May 12,2025 but due to having to have an emergency surgery she may not get to start her job right away. She is in need of financial assistance with rent, car payment, insurance, and utilities.

This family has recently lost support of one parent and they have struggled to make ends meet. There is a child in this family that has sensory issues with food, and they request assistance in the form of grocery gift cards so that they may choose foods the child will eat. There are 3 children and one parent in this household, and they have a need for assistance with groceries. This will help them as they adjust to the changes in their financial situation and family arrangement in the household.

The family has experienced the death of an infant and have recently given birth once again. This family is in need of furniture as they currently have no living room or kitchen furniture such as a couch, chairs, and table for a living room, a kitchen table and at least four chairs.

This family has recently lost the help and support of the father, and this has put great financial strain on them. They need assistance in paying their utility bill which is due to be paid 4/25/25.

This family is located In Marion. The mother is a single mother with a baby girl due in July. She has a six-year-old son that has behavioral issues that she is struggling to maintain but is getting supports from the department to help her navigate this. She is unable to work due to her son's issues. She is in need of ALL things for a baby girl. Things such as cloths, bottles, crib, stroller, diapers.etc.

This family is located in Smyth County. The grandmother has custody of her Grandkids and has had for 10+years. She had sewer problems, that took a significant amount of money probably close to $700.00 The funds came from her tax return that she was hoping to be able to use for a payment on a handicap van, as one of the children are wheelchair bound. The Grandmother is either looking for a handicap van, or monetary donations to try to get one, to better care for her grandchild.
