We are requesting help with the cost of a moving truck for a single mother of two children. Since her husband left, she can no longer afford the mortgage on her home and is being forced to move in with her parents for stability. The estimated cost of the moving truck is $120. We are requesting bunk beds for a single mother of three children. Her oldest child is currently staying with his biological father, but the father has made it clear he no longer wants him in his home. The child will be returning to his mother’s care on June 3. The mother is preparing for his return and wants to ensure all three children have a bed of their own. Due to limited space, bunk beds are the most practical solution to make sure each child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep without overcrowding the home. We are currently supporting a dedicated family of four in Payne County who are working hard to build a better future. The family consists of a mother, her two daughters, and her son. At this time, they are in need of a queen-size bed frame. Meeting this need would help reduce other financial responsibilities and enable them to focus on other essential areas of their lives. Family of 7, mother recently was laid off from her employment on May 1st. The husband/step father is working but have mortgage/home insurance of $1800 and a car payment. The family has 5 small children in the home. Recent events of job loss has made it difficult to purchase food, pay utilities, and put gasoline in the car. Mother of the family is seeking employment daily. Family has applied for SNAP benefits and been approved, also signed up for food pantry and kids lunches with local organization. Family however is still in need of $385 for Central Electric (rural) bill, to maintain refrigeration of food, health, and daily living needs.

Family plan in the future is to budget closely to keep bills paid and create a savings account. Mother is seeking to gain competitive employment which will support the needs that the Step- father is not able to meet with his employment. The tax refund will be used next year to place money in savings account to prepare for any unexpected losses or expenses, instead of paying on principal of the home mortgage.

We are looking to get two Greyhound bus tickets for a young mother and her young child who are in urgent need of safe transportation.

This mother made the brave decision to leave a violent and controlling relationship. The living environment had become increasingly unsafe—the father had made the home so dirty and unlivable that it posed serious concerns for both her and her child. Without a vehicle of her own, her ability seek safety has been limited. She is currently staying with a friend but this is a very temporary arrangement.

Despite these challenges, she has shown tremendous courage and resilience. She is now relocating to another state, where her parents, who have already invested in a larger home to accommodate her and her children—are ready to provide the support and stability she needs to start over.

She has managed to cover the cost of one bus ticket but is seeking help to pay for the additional two tickets needed for herself and her child. This assistance would make a critical difference in helping her reach a safe and supportive environment.

Any help you can offer during this time of transition would mean the world to her and her family. Thank you for your time, compassion, and consideration.

A grandmother is raising her grandchildren. They are a large family and are in need of a washer and a dryer. They accumulate a lot of laundry through the week and they wash by hand if they do not have the money to go to the laundromat.

A single foster mom is needing a week of child care for her foster child who is not able to attend DHS subsidized child care during the summer. The child is attending Stillwater Martial Arts over the summer.

Foster mother is needing assistance with getting Gelmix for a medically fragile baby. The baby has to have Gelmix infant thickener added to his formula to thicken the formula and prevent him from aspirating. During a recent hospital stay, the medical team used all of foster moms Gelmix so she has run out earlier than she was supposed to. There are a few different brands available that will work as long as it states on the bottle that it is an infant thickener, but Gelmix is the recommended brand.

This grandmother has reached out and she is taking care of her 2 grand children. She stated that it is hard to wash the clothes out by hand and she does not have the money to go to the laundromat this month. She said she is up to 15 loads of laundry. I tried reaching out to Payne County Community Action and the Salvation Army and had to leave a message with Salvation Army but CCOCA referred me to their facebook page.

This grandmother would benefit from having a washer and a dryer for their family so they do not have to frequently go to the laundromat.

I'm reaching out on behalf of a child who currently does not have access to a working refrigerator at home. As you can imagine, this makes it very difficult to safely store food and prepare meals. We're hoping to find support—whether that's someone who has a gently used fridge to donate or ability to help with covering the cost of a replacement. (unsure of exact price range. 100 - 400 estimated cost)

A visually impaired student with physical limitations will be attending middle school next year and is in need of a rolling case to carry her books at school! This student is also in need of a new 40" folding cane as well. Links for both items were provided by the teacher.
