There’s single mother with a 16 your old son in jeopardy of being evicted. She is recently divorced and has had to file for bankruptcy. Over the past few months maintaining the household had become more difficult. She received an eviction notice and is facing that notice being enforced next week, if she cannot pay $2257.

We have a 20-year-old who is aging out of care in a month. She is moving into her apartment with her 1-year-old daughter. She is working and has been trying to save money. She is $500 short for the deposit on her apartment; she has managed to save half. The $500 would ensure our older youth does not age out unhoused. She is utilizing a housing voucher to ensure she will be able to pay her rent; her voucher does not pay for any part of the deposit. Our youth is excited to have her own place for her and her daughter to finally have stability in her life. Thank you!

A low income family of 5 are transitioning into a new home as they recently welcomed a new baby. They have 3 small children and are in need of a boy toddler bed to help transition the baby into the home.

Good afternoon I am requesting community support to get some work clothes for a older youth on my caseload. My youth in question is 18 and is in the custody of the MO Children's Division. My youth recently start a paid work training program in Kansas City, and she needs some work clothes including (jeans, t-shirts, maybe work boots, etc.) things that can get dirty as she is working in a Trade Shop doing woodwork and welding. If possible, my youth would like to try the clothes on first before getting them. My youth has stated she would like a $100 gift card to Walmart or another cheap location where she can get some of these items.

Mother needs a full bed for herself, a box spring and frame for the child, along with bedding and bed protectors. A couch and dresser would also be helpful; however, the beds are the families first ask. The mother has a little more work to do to get back on her feet, and assistance with this inconvenient setback would go a long way helping the family become independent.

The mother is a single parent working to get housing. She recently had to move out of her prior home and doesn’t have anything for her 2 girls. She is staying temporarily with a friend and needing some assistance with clothing for her girls and food items.

The oldest is in sizes 12/14 The young one is size 8/10 in boys clothes.

I am seeking out help for a child who was just recovered from being on-run. Unfortunately, there are no family members what-so-ever involved in his case and this poor child has learnt to fend for himself most of his childhood and into his teen years. As hard as it is for him to accept help sometimes, he is in desperate need of just that. The child is currently staying with a friend who so kindly is willing to help keep him off the streets however he is in need of a bed, bedding and a pillow as he is currently sleeping on an air mattress temporarily. The child is also in need of some undergarments (wife beaters, boxers and socks. I am hoping to get some help with getting this child re-established with the basic necessities. With this help, we are hoping to get a good home routine and regimen back up and started for him. We want him to feel comfortable and confident having his own items and get him back on track with meeting his goals in life.
