A single foster to adopt mother of two plus an adopted child in the home, has been having to take time off work (unpaid) in order to get one of the foster children psychiatric help. Due to the loss of income and due to the extra expenses of having to travel to the facility weekly where the child is inpatient for family therapy, the foster mother is struggling with meeting all her monthly financial obligations. The foster mother is committed to engaging in all that is required in order to get the foster child the help needed. This permanency worker is advocating for grocery assistance to help lessen the financial burden on the family. Any assistance in meeting this need will be greatly appreciated by the family and DHS.

Hello there. I have a family who is in need of some assistance paying their water bill. Two weeks ago, one of their children (he is 2 years old with a birthday coming up in April) came down with a very bad case of RSV. He had to be hospitalized for 3 nights. As he began to recover, the rest of the household became ill. As a result, the family has faced some unforeseen financial hardships (caregivers missing work, multiple doctor's visits, paying for medications, etc.). This family would really appreciate any kind of help you may be able to provide at this time. Thank you so much in advance for your time and consideration!
A local group home would love to make a day trip for a teen very special. An outing in February is planned for this teen and the GH staff would love to make this a day just for him. They plan to attend an event he is very interested in; the Monster Truck Jam. They also plan to go out to eat, buy souvenirs, and just make the day very special for him. This young man has been in this home for a number of years and he has formed many friendships. Some of his group home peers have moved on however, and they're move has put a damper on his spirits. The staff at the GH would really love to make the day very special and just for him.
The client is the natural mother to a two year old male. The natural mother has been granted a second chance to correct the condition that led to the removal of her child from her care. The natural mother does not have her own means of transportation and would be greatly benefited by having a bus passes to attend visitation and services.
My client is a single mother who is currently seeking employment and is desperately needing a gas card. This mother is needing the gas card to be able to get to visits with her baby girl. This mother is actively engaged in her DHS case. Please help this mother be able to drive to her visits to see her daughter who is at her aunt's home. Thank you!
A mother and 4 children are needing assistance with furnishings for their new home. After escaping a domestic violence situation, they have nothing left. The mother has worked tirelessly to achieve her goals, including obtaining employment and obtaining housing. But, now they are in need of furnishings. By providing furnishings, this will help the family feel safe in secure in their new home.
A family has taken placement of their female infant relative. The child has outgrown her car seat and they are needing a new one. The family has found a Cosco Easy Elite All-in-one convertible car seat that is amour colored at walmart for $99.98. This car seat can be adjusted as the child grows and prevent the family from needing to get another new carseat.
I have a family that is currently homeless and staying at a local shelter. Their car recently broke down and the father lost his job because he was not able to get to work. They are not sure what is wrong with car, but think that it might be the battery. The family is needing someone to be able to look at the car and check it out to see if it can be fixed. This will help the family be able to run errands and help the father get a job so they will be able to move out of the shelter.
A mother and 2 children that have escaped a domestic violence situation is in need of assistance. Because of the situation, almost everything was left behind, including furnishings. The mother was able to obtain housing, and by providing this need you help further her support of being self-sufficient and successful in her new journey with her children.
The family that needs help is a single adoptive mother, with two small relative children. Her adoption finalized on 10/31, however there was a delay with getting child care set up for the family, so there are several days not approved for child care for these two children. Child care services is not able to back date payment so the family is requesting assistance. This adoptive mother just started a new job and won't be paid for 4 weeks. She isn't able to pay the amounts due for child care. Any assistance would be a huge blessing for this small family. The amount due for one child is $660 and the amount due for the other child is $576.
Special Instructions:
Payment can be paid directly to the child care facility.
I am working with a single mother and she has two young child. The mother has faced numerous challenges in the last year which has lead to financial struggles. In spite of the obstacles the mother has continued to step ahead and continue to pursue her goal of becoming a college graduate. She wants to create a better life for herself and her children. She continuously says everything she does is for her children. She recently said that her internet has been turned off due having to pay other bills. The mother attends school exclusively online and will be unable to start her classes when the spring semester begins. If you feel you can help this mother with her internet bill so she can continue her goal of getting her degree then please reach out and I will connect you.
The natural parents have recently gained a rental home. The natural parents are in need of $125 dollars for a deposit to turn the water with City of Owasso. The natural parents are early in the reunification process, but this is their first solid step to stability.
