There are two biological parents who are in need of gas cards to help them maintain employment and allow for increased visitation with their 3 young children. The increased visitation will allow the case to move towards reunification for the children and their biological family. Parents have made huge strides towards reunification and are working hard towards achieving permanency for their children. A gas card would tremendously help the family and would be appreciated.

I have a young man on my caseload that has made the decision to better himself by gong into a youth challenge program as he is interested in what military life would be like. He may potentially want to join the military when he turns 18 in a few years. He had an interview that went fantastic and was accepted into the program and is so excited for the opportunity this program will give him. However he needs quite a few items before he goes to in-processing on January 13th. The needs are 10 pairs of white underpants, no boxers, 7 solid red tshirts with no pockets, 1 pair of shower shoes, 3 pairs of Thermal underwear winter only/white or off white, 3 solid white bath towels and 3 wash cloths white only, 2 pair of brown or black jersey gloves, 1 white only mesh draw string laundry bag, 1 swim trunk solid color only, 1 black boot polish, boot brush and polish cloth, no liquid or creams, 1 unscented sunblock, 1 stick carmex plain lip balm, 1 finger nail clipper, 3 packs plastic disposable razors, 1 shaving gel/cream, 1 pk of 3-6 soap bars with a container, 1 foot powder, 1 hygiene kit bag and 1 combination lock. Any help with purchasing these items would be greatly appreciated and make this young man very happy. He is so excited for this opportunity and talks about the program every-time I see him. Mom lives in Texas and has made great strides to get back on track and has done so. She is currently taking care of her other child safely and financially and has paid off all her debt to get back to Oklahoma. The child recently lost his only other family member (grandmother) in which the child had a strong bond a couple of months ago from organ failure. Mom has secured the money for the Uhual; paid off all outstanding debts and has the funds for the 1st months’ rent on the new apartment in Tulsa; but is just short of the deposit. The kiddo has been placed in a new foster home and bio mom has attended and participated in all services with OKDHS, including making a complete lifestyle change to do so. I have a family of 2 adults, and 5 children ages 9, 12, 13, 15, and 17. The younger 3 children report never having beds to sleep on. They report sleeping on air mattresses up until this last week when they popped, to where they are sleeping on tile floors with a blanket. The family needs assistance with beds, mattresses, sheets and pillows. Assisting this family getting mattresses will help these children get a good nights rest to thrive in academics, sports and day to day life. Christmas is coming up and would make their Holiday season special!

Mom has been trying to pay her rent as she gets paid but lost an income from separating from her children's father who is not providing financial support to their children. Any assistance towards her rent this holiday season would be greatly appreciated. If more information is needed please contact Case Worker.

16 year old girl new to DHS custody is need of a twin/full sized bedding set (frame, mattress and bedding). If this need is met, this will help her maintain placement in a kinship home. This child is also in need of clothing and essential items, as she has very minimal. If this need is met, this will help her maintain a sense of dignity during this difficult time.

There is a family of 4 which are getting close to reunification. The parents have worked hard on their treatment plans and are ready for re-unification with their children. The family is needing 2 twin bed frame, box springs, mattresses and bedding as the children do not have any beds at the parents home. The father does have a truck if he needs to move the items. Thank you for any assistance. Updated on November 24, 2023 by an Agency Worker If unable to obtain twin beds I believe we could make futon bed frames work as they appear to have futon mattresses but not the appropriate frames.
