Kin aunt has agreed to take emergency placement of a young child. She is struggling to maintain monthly bills while meeting his needs. She used her last income to provide kid friendly meals and clothing and hygiene. She will need help with visa cards for basic necessities and transportation to and from visits with parents. She is unable to pick up extra shift at work for additional income as she is newly accepted into her apprenticeship and cannot lose her spot in the program. Any assistance helps.

Single mom who had her children removed from her custody in August of 2022. Kids are fifteen and two. Mom has a lot on her plate between work, treatment, and visits with her kids. She is fighting to maintain her current living arrangement on top of all that is asked of her through the Department. She struggles to make it to all of her required drug screens which has impacted the ability for her kids to return to her care. As an alternative solution, a sobriety monitoring device is being explored for her. The device is costly and unfortunately not covered by the Department. A month's worth of monitoring is going to cost about $300. To help further see this mother succeed and reunify with her children, this request is being placed to help provide financial assistance to pay for the sobriety monitoring device. What is being asked if $300 in gift cards to provide to mom so she can supplement the money she'll have to spend on the device. We are hopeful that this plan will help her make progress and we can return these kiddos back home!

Family in need of $600 to get their only vehicle back from having auto repairs. The family has three children under the age of four including a newborn. There is one working parent. The family has many appointments and obligations where transportation is needed. Having their car back will allow them to get to work, treatment appointments, doctor appointments and children's school. Updated on February 01, 2023 by an Agency Worker Hello- We graciously were able to collect $300 towards the balance of the family's vehicle. We are still looking for a donation for the remaining $300. The family only has one vehicle and with a newborn getting to pediatric appointments is so important. Thank you!!

Biological father needs assistance with groceries and transportation.
Father is currently residing in a sober living facility while working towards reunification. Father is unable to work, due to a medical condition he will be receiving surgery for in March 2023. Father is responsible for his own groceries and transportation to and from treatment appointments. Father relies on public transportation, but has appointments in Denver, CO which consumes hours of travel in one day and quickly goes through the bus passes. Father would benefit from a gift card for groceries and an Uber/Lyft gift card.
If father receives these items, he will be able to maintain his treatment appointments and continue to make progress towards reunification.

Hello! A 13 year old boy was placed with a neighbor following an emergency removal from parents. The neighbor has purchased some clothing for him from Goodwill but is not able to purchase much, given this placement was unexpected and the neighbor is a single parent of two teens herself. Kiddo is in need of clothing and some hygiene products as he is the only boy in the home.

Kinship providers have had a male (8) and a female (10) children in their home for the past three months. The children came with very little clothing, toys and personal items. The Care portal and other organizations have assisted this family with the holidays and birthday gifts, but the family has depleted their savings account trying to provide for the extra costs of additional groceries, clothing, personal items, increased transportation costs due to visitations, therapy appointments, activities, etc. and activities for the children. The 8 year old boy needs Good Nites, size small/medium, as he still wets his bed at night. 2 cases would last them for two-to three months. The family has registered the children for basketball ($50 fee) and club volleyball ($250 plus $20 first time player fee) and would greatly appreciate help with these costs. The family has already charged these fees on a credit card, so gift cards to help the family save money in other areas (Walmart, King Soopers etc.) would make a big difference. In addition, they are purchasing the boy basketball shoes and the girl shoes/knee pads for volleyball. Any gift cards to help with these fees or gifts cards for gas /shoes would be very helpful. Updated on January 19, 2023 by an Agency Worker The need for Goodnites has been fulfilled! Thank you!
We also received $100 gift card donation outside of the Care Portal. Updated on January 24, 2023 by an Agency Worker The request for gift cards for sneakers and knee pads has been met!!! Thank you.

I have a single dad of two teenagers and their mom is absent in their lives. The teenage girl struggles with isolating at times and finding things that interest her, but would like to learn to sew/crochet. The dad is working full time and trying to save money to retain a divorce attorney, so money is tight for them and he is often away at work. The children have been through trauma with their mom, so providing them healthy outlets and a way to facilitate their interests would be great. This young lady would like to learn to sew, so a sewing/crocheting kit would be appreciated. Thank you!

I am working with a single mother of two teenage girls that would love help getting 2 electric scooters (with two helmets). The family is low income and the mom works full time overnights to make ends meet and does not have a car. The bus that used to pick the girls up for school stopped coming to their neighborhood and walking would take over an hour to get to school and then the same time to walk back home. One of the children also has some medical needs, so walking to school could present a safety concern for her. Having these scooters would provide an avenue for the girls to get to school and also be quicker than walking. The mom is saving money for a car, but wont have enough saved until March and Ubering each month would cost more than their rent. Thank you so much!

This case involves a single mother and her two daughters. The girls are four months and seven years. Mom resides in Denver and the girls are placed in Parker with their grandmother. Mom is currently engaging in visits with the girls at least once, if not more times per week at the grandmother's home. Mom is also required to submit drug screens and attend treatment on a weekly basis. At this time, mom is without a car and relies on public transportation. She has a stable job, but the cost of busses and Uber/Lyft has been difficult for her. More so, there are some areas that busses do not transport to so she has to rely on ride shares like Uber or Lyft.
To better support her in her success with her treatment and engagement with the girls, a Uber or Lyft card is being requested to ease the need for paying for public transport.

Child does not have many toys that she can access. Provider made suggestions for the request for these purposes:
"These books have vibrant colors and strong visual support. The text is repetitive and predictable for (child). There are sliding doors throughout the book, which will keep (child) engaged and she make predictions about what comes next. Colors can be targeted as well as body parts. Rhyming can also be targeted as well."
"The lift and flap books and the wooden latch puzzles are sturdy, interactive and engaging for (child). The colorful pictures provide great visual support to boost receptive and expressive language. Action words, nouns, concepts (locative, sequential), etc can be targeted when playing with these. (child) can follow directions (open the....close the....find the....point to....) and take turns with a relative who plays with her."

Parent would like to take child to community connections like the Library for story time or Monkey Business for toddler playtime. Parent and child live with extended family. Extended family has had a number of circumstances recently that have had a financial impact on the household.
I have access to a large number of preschool books, games, puzzles. I can donate several if that would be welcome.
