Mother expecting child in August. Seeking car seat and crib. Mother currently unemployed, has reached out to local agencies for items without success. She is involved in F2BM as well as other outpatient support programs to better her and her family’s outcomes. Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you!
A relative is caring for her niece and nephew. She is very interested in adopting the children and getting them out of foster care. However, to meet the adoption requirements, the niece needs her own bed. She is in need of a twin bedframe, mattress, sheets, as well as a mattress protector. Obtaining this would be a financial hardship for the family, but they are committed to getting the children out of foster care and keeping them with family.

Single mom residing with her 17-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. Family has been residing in Pennsylvania for five years after relocating from Georgia. While mom has some family in Pennsylvania, resources available to mom have been limited. Mom and daughter have experienced multiple traumatic events that have resulted in mom losing employment, vehicle and license. In order for mom to obtain employment, she is in need of assistance paying fines to reinstate her license in Pennsylvania. Assistance with outstanding fines would allow mom the opportunity she needs to achieve her goals of obtaining employment and taking care of her family.
A disabled aunt of three, who's primary income is social security benefits, is in need of assistance with basic household items and baby items. This is a one-time request for items to improve the family's living situation. New or used items are welcome. The family has requested the following:
1 full bed frame, mattress, and bedding
1 twin bedding
Two dressers
6–9-month baby boy clothing (5 shirts, 5 pants, 2 sleepers, 7 onesies, a pack of socks, and a pack of bibs)
2 couches as she is currently using lawn furniture in her living room

An adoptive mom and two daughters have been incredibly resourceful in staying together. Their story has been full of unexpected difficulty, but they've remained strong and are supported by friends in their community and their local church. This resourceful mom has gathered everything they need, and this request is the last of the items remaining. We learned of their needs from a friend of Miriam's Heart who knows this mama and two kids well and knew that CarePortalNJ churches would be able to come to their aid quickly.
They recently relocated into a new home following an unexpected death in the family; this young mom has already been helped to find most of the furniture she needs (SHOUT OUT TO RV Habitat for Humanity and Zarephath Christian Church for providing large items and a truck to deliver them).
PLEASE NOTE: Mom is disabled, and some of the requests pertain to her specific needs. This family specifically needs Corelle or similar lightweight dishes so mom can carry them. When we learned of this need, we added it for her as mom is using a used, old, stained mattress she has placed a cover on it to make it work. She does not have an appropriate bed or bedding but did not ask for anything for herself when she tearfully explained her needs. We'd LOVE to see these needs provided for and to give her a new bed and bedding.
The children are 9 and 14 and are both females. All that remains are the following requests.
Family is a great aunt that has recently obtained guardianship of her niece. The niece has lived in the home since November but the family really hoped that biological mother would get her again. This great aunt has some medical issues and does not get around very well. Do to her medical issues her income is very limited and she believes that clothing for the child will benefit her the most. The mother is no longer willing to share the clothing that child has at the mother's residence. The child is a 2 year old female who turns 3 in June. She currently wears girls 4T clothing and 4 toddler shoes. This relative is requesting short sleeve shirts, shorts, sandals and a pair of play shoes for the child.

The grandmother is disabled and lifting and pulling causes her immense pain. She is also requesting assistance obtaining clothing for both the children. The granddaughter is age 9yrs old, she wears size 12 girls/xs juniors and needs five short sleeve shirts and five pairs of shorts. She also needs tennis shoes size 3. The grandson needs five short sleeve shirts and five pairs of shorts size 4t in boys, size 8 toddler tennis shoes- he loves spiderman.

This family came into care due to issues with keeping home clean. Once completing an investigation, the agency learned that the mother has a child that is autistic, overweight with diabetes and a host of other medical issues. Her daughter, 4yrs, has major behaviors issues which consist of, under distress, throwing things and becoming aggressive. Both CHN have several appointments throughout the week, ranging from 10 to 12 medical and therapeutic appointments each, every week. The agency has tried to assist with transportation by supplying bus passes, and even entering a resource to assist with transportation; however, the appointments vary throughout the day and the agency is no longer able to assist every day. The mom recently received a car but because she is unable to work due to caring for the medical needs of her children; she cannot afford gas, therefor I am asking for any assistance with a gas card or gas assistance so that mom can make her children's appointments weekly.

A maternal grandmother had her two grandchildren placed in her care as a safety precaution. The two small children suffered physical abuse in the hands of their biological father. The MGM is employed; however, her income is limited as she's the sole provider for her two children. The MGM has a 6-month-old granddaughter who she reports she needs a walker for. The caregiver states that her granddaughter is constantly trying to lift herself up when she's held. the caregiver reports that if her granddaughter had a walker, she could strengthen her legs while learning to take steps.
