I have a student at the high school who is wanting to attend his senior prom. He currently has a brother who is going through expensive treatments and at this time it is a single parent household and money is tight. He has been informed by his parent that they will not be able to afford a tux/suit for the prom. I have reached out to a local business who is willing to provide the student with the best style and fit for the big day for $125 and will run it under the schools name so there will be no taxes. They are also agreeable to do a fitting at no cost. If anyone is agreeable to assist this student, we can give him a senior prom to remember! Thank you in advance.

We would like to request financial assistance of $500 toward rent for the small family of a 13-year-old young man receiving Bert Nash services. This young man lives with his grandmother. This client was brought to live with his grandmother last Fall escaping an abusive situation while living with his mother in Texas. GM is on disability and is struggling to make ends meet with supporting client only on her disability income. We are in the process of applying for Social Security for this client as he struggles with mental health issues from the trauma he has endured in his mothers care. We so appreciate your continued support of our work. Graciously submitted.
Children were put into state custody because of the condition of the home. Mom does not have adequate plumbing and there are boxes, clothes, trash piled in most rooms of the home. One of the children painted black handprints all over their bedroom wall. Mom needs help cleaning the house, acquiring cleaning supplies like buckets, vacuums, sprays, etc. The biggest help to mom would be a team of people to help her clean out the house. She was previously working with Cornerstones to do this but they won't help her now that the children are in custody. One of the kiddos expressed to me that they were always so stressed worrying about mom and sibling and always having to clean up after them. Mom's mental health continues to decrease as she feels demoralized and hopeless and at fault for her home.
Single, Christian Mom of two needs help with a vehicle repair. This hardworking Mom has struggled through several setbacks, including a fire that destroyed her home, a divorce, and an illness of one of the children. She receives no support from the kids' Dad. She has remained dedicated to raising her children in the ways of the Lord, and has stepped in herself to meet CarePortal needs for local families. She commuted to work and depends on her only vehicle for transportation. Repairing this vehicle will ensure she is able to continue working to support her children.
Youth recently turned 18 and is filing is taxes. Due to having 1099 income, his taxes will cost $110 to file. We would request assistance with paying this so that he can file his taxes.

Single mother with two children who is disabled and on a very limited income. Last September she had surgery and was out of work. At that time she worked with various agencies including CarePortal to assist with her rent and utilities. Since then, she has been doing a great job at paying her rent and utilities in a timely manner. On January 1st her lease was renewed and the landlord let her know that they were using a new system called "simple bills" and that all of her utilities would be transferred into the management company's name allowing her to pay utilities in one lump payment. In January she reached out to the landlord because she had not received any bills for utilities. The landlord let her know that they were in the process of consolidating her bills and she would hear something soon. On March 13th she received a bill that included all of her utilities for January and February that is due on April 3rd. She was not expecting such a large bill. The total amount due is $841.54. Mom is asking for one time assistance to get caught up. She believes that now that she understands how the new billing works, she will be able to manage it much like she has in the past several months. Since "simple bills" does not accept payment arrangements of any kind mom is at risk of service interruptions. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! I can provide copies of bills to see the breakdown as well as the acct# for "simple bills" to make payment if approved.

Two parent household with a 4 month old and a toddler. Parents are requesting a toddler bedframe, mattress, bedding and a pillow for their soon to be 2 year old daughter. Currently the toddler is sleeping in a pack-n-play and quickly will be growing out of it. Parents are participating in services through Families First. If additional information is needed please contact Katelin Kuhlman at(###) ###-####.
Placement (aunt) took in her nieces this last week and are converting their office into the girls bedroom. Currently all bio-kids are sleeping in the parents room so that the girls can sleep in a bed. DCF requires the girls to have their own beds by a certain amount of time so that placement can keep the girls. This would be a huge help as the girls did not come with any of their own bedding or clothes so aunt is buying them all new things and "foster" proofing their house to meet regulation requirements.
John:
I need full contact and delivery information of the adult(s) and names and ages of the children. This is needed to place the order. Then I will contact the adult to arrange delivery and setup.
Child really wants to intend the FCCLA, she is also participating as a judge for state and needs help with the funds that are required so the child can attend, placement is unable to provide these funds due to financial struggles, child is very excited about this opportunity and will give her a chance to explore different activities, programs and real world skills that will help prepare her for her future.
relative placement of 1 child suffered a stroke so had to move siblings to same relative placement, bunkbeds needed to facilitate the stability of placement and adoptive resource by supplying bunkbeds to maximize space in bedroom.
Family is in need of financial assistance. Mom has been having severe panic attacks. Dad is employed but had to take FMLA to care for mom and the children. Dad was paid for a few of the days, but most of his time off has been without pay. Dad is also taking online classes. The family is behind on their rent which is $750 a month and also on utilities. Mom has attempted to get assistance for utilities but had a panic attack while waiting and had to leave. Mom has been to the ER and her physician and is in the process of getting a second opinion. She was unable to get an immediate appointment but has one scheduled for next month. The family was homeless 3 1/2 years ago and dad was able to get a job and they were able to rent the home that they are now in.

Grandma has placement of three of her grandsons from Missouri foster care, ages 16, 13, and 12. A pipe in her front yard burst and needed to be replaced. She then was hit with another large bill in December when she needed to fill her propane tank to heat the house. Grandma is needing financial assistance to help with these unexpected bills. This would allow her to avoid going deeper into debt and ensure the family will have heat.
