This family consists of a single mom, living with her two daughters, one who is an adult and one who is a minor. This family has struggled with homelessness after leaving a domestic violence situation and is currently in stable housing. The mother is still struggling with her mental health after surviving the domestic violence and is unable to work at this time. The request of the family is for a washer and dryer, as their apartment has hookups, but no machines. This would greatly assist the family in saving money that would be used for getting to and utilizing a laundromat which is currently very frequent with two teenage girls. The time and money saved would be utilized for more pressing financial pressures that family is experiencing. If the expense is too high for both a washer and dryer, a washer would be preference.

I have been working with a father that has been working hard for the past year to achieve and maintain sobriety in order to be the father his children deserve while their mother still struggles with substance use and is not currently involved in their lives. This father has done amazing work in his treatment, maintained sobriety, participated in counseling continuously, attends parenting groups weekly, got his children enrolled in school and their own counseling, and is now involved in the parental advisory board at his children's school. The father is in the midst of a lengthy custody dispute with the absent mother in the midst of preparing for his son to graduate from Kindergarten. Finances are a huge barrier for this father and I know he is so proud of the accomplishments of his child that is graduating and is wanting to celebrate how far his child has come and how far he and his boys have come as a family. Please consider donating a visa gift card for this family to ensure that the father is able to properly celebrate his child on graduation day without having to worry about the financial burden related to the celebration.

I've recently had to place a one year old child with kinship placement following his removal from his mothers care. His grandparents willingly took this child into their home and assumed full time care of him on very short notice. Due to the emergency nature of the placement, the kinship family does not have much in the home for the child and could use assistance with getting some basic things for the child to ensure that he is comfortable during this transition to his new home. A gift card to Walmart or Target would help alleviate some of the financial burden that these grandparents took on in such short notice.

I am working with mother and her 5-year-old daughter who recently left their home seeking safety due to a domestic violence altercation between the mother and father. The 5-year-old unfortunately witnessed her mother suffer extensive physical abuse and has been trying to adapt to these changes. Thankfully, the mother and child were able to leave this unsafe home and sought safety with grandma. The mother and child have lost all of their things due to how quickly they had to flee their living situation. The mother is a single working mom and is having a hard time making ends meet while going through the court process related to the abuse she suffered. This mother desperately needs help with and getting basic needs met for her child, especially with clothing and food. Gift cards to places like Walmart or Target would make such a huge difference in the daily life of this family.

The Denver Human Services’ Give Center is seeking shopping carts or bags with wheels to support food access for the children and families we serve. The Give Center serves close to 4,000 clients a year who need emergent resources – which include food. By providing the families we serve with food and a means to carry their food items with dignity — we take meaningful steps towards addressing hunger in our community.

Many of the parents, caregivers, and individuals who visit the GIVE Center lack access to reliable transportation, rely on public transit, or have disabilities that make it difficult to carry food. Having carts or wheeled bags readily available will help eliminate barriers and ensure that families—especially those with children—can safely and easily take food home. With your support, clients will be able to walk away not only with the food they need but with the means to carry it without added stress or hardship.

POC are currently in a hotel and trying to get back on their feet. FOC is working full time, and they are paying their debt so they can get a place. They do have an eviction on record that they are working to get removed but in meantime MOC is in need of a pack n play. Also, children's clothes for a boy, size 2T.

FOC needs assistance with a high chair and stroller. FOC is engaged in his treatment plan and would like the high chair and stroller to assist him in visits and for his daughters first birthday in mid May.

The father of this family recently got full custody of his two children due to their mom's substance use. This father has done everything he can to show he is stable and good to take his girls. Recently CPS was contacted for education neglect because his daughter has not been in school. The caseworker went to meet the family and the father showed the caseworker his brake situation on his vehicle. the dad reported that it is unsafe for him to drive this vehicle to get his kids to school and that's why she has not been attending school this father is doing everything he can and just needs a break and help with fixing his vehicle so it's safe and working for him and his children. The dad has not been able to work because of the vehicle issues and not having transportation as well as to work and if the kids are home and not getting to school he is watching them. The dad needs front brakes rotors caliber on the driver side and back brakes and rotors. This family would benefit from help so he can get back to work and the kids can get back to daycare and school. it could be less than the quote depeidning on the extent

Mom is requesting two car seats - for a 2.5 year old (27lbs) and a 7 month old (17lbs). These car seats will greatly help mom be able to transport her baby girls safely and help mom as she and the kids transition into their own healthy, living situation. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

MOC had struggled with homeless and was living in motels. MOC finally has stable housing and working. Kiddo who is 14 years old is waning to return back to mom where she will have her own room. However, MOC is needing a bed and a bed frame for her kiddo.

This family has recently been able to move into an apartment after being homeless for two plus years. They do not have any furniture and are in need of two mattresses and bedding.

We currently have a family that is needing assistance with some furniture for the children. The family is in need of a day bed for their son, and 2 full mattresses for the 2 daughters. The family is hoping to receive bunk beds if possible for the 2 full mattresses. The family is also in need of a couch for the home. This would greatly help the family have some of their own space and belongings for the kids.
