Despite their circumstances, this family is doing everything they can to stay afloat. They are kind, humble, and trying their best to provide stability and care for their children. But like many families facing financial hardship, they’ve had to make impossible choices—and a bed is simply something they can’t afford right now. Having a real bed would not only provide the children with physical comfort and rest—it would offer a sense of normalcy, dignity, and hope. Child is 1 year old and has grown out of his infant car seat. Child needs a convertible car seat in order to be transported. Parent is unable to afford a car seat for the child. Child suffers from fetal alcohol syndrome

Single mother raising her three children ages 11, 12 and 7 needs support to pay light utility bill. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she has fallen behind on her utility bill and is at risk of disconnection. Mom is caring for her children and doing her best to make ends meet. Despite her efforts, her current income is not enough to cover all her essential expenses this month. She is seeking assistance to help pay a past-due utility bill of $85.00 to ensure her family can maintain access to electricity, heat and food. Assisting this mom with this month will get her back on track.

I am writing in behalf of my client is a single mother of 3 who recently experienced a DV incident, leaving her in a state of crisis. With the assistance of a navigator, she sought immediate help and was able to secure temporary transportation through PADV. Unfortunately, the transportation attempts were unsuccessful as the Uber drivers refused to transport her due to the absence of car seats for her children. The client was given a 24-hour window to reach a shelter. However, due to the transportation issues, she was unable to make it within the given time frame. The following day, she was informed that the shelter spot had been taken. She spent the next three days trying to secure another spot without success.

In the meantime, the client contacted her landlord, who changed the locks to ensure her safety and has also lowered the rent to help client. She has also applied for additional public assistance, including TANF and Cash Assistance, and currently awaiting approval. The client has been a victim of financial abuse which has left her in a vulnerable financial state. She recently discovered that her ex-partner did not pay the light bill, resulting in an outstanding balance of $209. The electricity is scheduled for disconnection on May 9th, 2025. The client is urgently seeking assistance to cover the light bill to prevent disconnection. This support is crucial for her and her children as they navigate this challenging period and work towards stability and safety.

I’m writing to request a grocery stipend or financial support on behalf of a devoted grandmother who has taken on the responsibility of caring for her elementary-aged grandson. His parents are currently battling addiction, and during this difficult period, his grandmother has stepped up to provide a stable, nurturing home. Since being in her care, this young boy has truly begun to thrive. With consistent routines, a safe environment, and the love and attention he needed, he’s caught up in school and is now excelling academically. He’s an incredibly respectful and kind child who has responded beautifully to the structure and care his grandmother provides. While she is doing everything in her power to meet his needs, the added financial pressure—especially regarding food and other household essentials—has been challenging. A grocery stipend would go a long way in supporting this family and ensuring the progress this child has made continues.

We have a family who just moved into a new apartment with their kids, but the deposit put them behind in bills. They are in need of getting back to being on track with their paychecks. Rent is weekly and they are just asking for a little help to pay one week of rent so they can be back on their pay schedule without falling further behind.

A child in DFCS care is going to prom. Due to the child aging out and not qualifying to sign back in she does not have transportation to prom. I would love for her to get some type of Uber or Lyft card for her to be transported to prom.

The child would like to go to prom but needs assistance with getting her hair and makeup done. Estimated value is $250.

Two toddler boys in Foster Care, ages 2 and 4 that are in need of car seats/booster seats with the back attached. The car seats cannot be bulky as they will be placed in the back seat of a Nissan Versa along with an infant car seat for their sibling. We are only in need of two for the boys so they can start overnight visits with their biological parent. Thank you in advance.
