Mom and Dad have newly acquired their own home after living with family. Parents have 4 children. 3 of whom are old age appropriate for their own beds. However, each child is sharing a bed as well as using air mattresses. Family is in need of a bunk bed set and an individual twin bed to ensure stability with safe sleep according to CPS guidelines.
A single caregiver recently had her 6 year old female cousin placed with her. The caregiver previously received permanent custody of her 3 year old and 10 year old female cousins through previous CPS cases. The caregiver has a 2 bedroom apartment and she is requesting one set of bunk beds for her 6 year old cousin and 10 year old cousins for their bedroom as they share a room. In addition, she is requesting mattresses and sheets for the beds. The caregiver works hard to provide for her family and with this case being new she had to purchase other items for her cousin to be settled in her home and cannot afford bunk beds at this time.
A family of 5 people, 2 children and 3 adults need of help. One of the children is a 16 years old male that just moved from Guatemala to have a better future and moved in with his male cousins, his cousins wife and his niece. The 16 yo was transported to the US by smugglers. The 16 yo was registered in school and his adult cousins were the main breadwinners in the household. In July, the 16 yo received a call from the smugglers and threatened him to pay off the amount he owes for bringing to the US or his family lives in Guatemala will be in danger. The 16 yo had to quit school to help his cousins by working full time to make payments so his family can be safe. The amount the 16 yo owes is $9000 and there is $700 interest every month. The cousins work double the hours and the 16 yo works full time to manage their payments to the smugglers. I am seeking help for the family to pay a months rent and utilities so they can make the payment they require to keep the family in Guatemala safe. The 16 yo wishes to continue his education but he will not be able to until he pays off the smugglers. Any help is accepted.

We have a single-parent family whose house burned down. The family lost everything. Children are in need of clothes, especially uniforms. Unfortunately, without proper uniform attire, students are not allowed to remain on campus and attend classes. The family also needs furniture, bedding, food, etc. Anything will help this family to recover and help to make them whole again. The children desperately want to continue their studies.

A single mother with two children just moved in to a one bedroom apartment. The father was physically abusing mother for years and the last incident he pulled a gun to her head and attempted to shoot her. Father is currently in jail. Mother has few family members in south of Dallas. Mother works full time and is struggling financially and does not have childcare so she has she picks up the children from school and stay with mother at her job until she is off. Mother would definetely benefit in any help with finding a lawyer and getting a protective order because her husband can be dangerous and harm her physically.
I have a family that is in great need of assistance. The family is a single parent household with 5 children. One of the children has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and he is non verbal and a runner, which is how CPS got involved. Child just started kindergarten last week after completing an evaluation and getting qualified for special education. Child ran away from home and was found 0.5 mile away from the apartment and Law Enforcement was called. The oldest child just turned adult age and she works overnight. Adult child watches her siblings during the day when Parent is at work but all times that child ran away and was found by either Law Enforcement or neighbors, she was found sleeping. Darriel works 5 days a week and I assume that she is exhausted when she comes home and having to watch her younger siblings on top of that it can make her sleep deprived. Ms. Brooks works day shift at a gas station around the apartment they reside because she does not have a vehicle to transport. Parent stated to me that she never needed a vehicle prior to moving to Texas and she is working on getting her driver’s license to get a vehicle. Parent has 3 year old that is very hyperactive and destroys everything in his way. Parent is unable to keep up with maintaining the home clean with youngest child running around and getting into trouble and child with autism being a runner.

This request is a for a family who is taking care of their newest grandchild. They already care for their oldest grandchild who resides in the home, watch their younger grandchildren during the day who are not in school, and are still able to provide and care for the newest one. They are requesting a dresser that they can turn the top into a changing table.
A single caregiver had her 1 year old female cousin placed with her recently. The toddler is quickly outgrowing her crib and is ready to transition to a toddler bed. The caregiver is requesting a toddler bed, mattress, and bedding for this little girl. The little girl is a happy and adorable little girl who loves attention, playing with her toys, and the family dog.
Mom and Dad would benefit from assistance as they were previously homeless. Both parents are working minimal wage jobs to maintain housing. This assistance would allow the children to maintain stable housing as they have no bedding in the home beyond air mattresses. Parents are working diligently to ensure their bills can be paid moving forward to avoid homelessness. Parents have 3 children. Two males under the age of 2yo and one female 12yo. Parents continue to work diligently to improve their economic circumstances.
Allon:
I know we have twin mattresses. I am going to check to see if we have regular twin bed frames or a bunk bed frame. We also have a coffee table we can provide.
A kinship family needs help with daycare costs incurred while caring for a family member's 1 year old baby while the parent was not a safe option for the child. The family stepped up for the child when no other family member was able to. The kinship family is on a fixed income as one of them is disabled. Therefore, the child needed daycare in order for the placement to work. Unfortunately, CCMS had some issues processing the daycare and the family had to pay out of pocket for a month and is unable to afford the large bill. Any amount will help. The amount can be paid directly to the daycare to help lower the bill for the family. If the bill is not paid, the child may be dropped from the daycare which could disrupt the placement. The kinship family intends to adopt the child as soon as legally able.
