Family recently welcomed a newborn. The parents are adjusting to being parents and their new lifestyle while living with other individuals. A changing table would help to allow the parents to change their child somewhere designated for that as opposed to using other random surfaces that their housemates may not approve of.

This is a youth who loves to attend school, but due to his diagnoses (ADHD and Intellectual Disability) and weaknesses with executive functioning, struggles significantly with getting up for school, and getting ready and out the door to catch the bus in time. When he does miss the bus, takes initiative to call the school to see if a ride can be arranged, or he calls an Uber using his grandmother's card. His grandmother does not have a vehicle, and is on a fixed income, so cannot afford ongoing charges for an Uber. The family is at risk of court action if absences continue, and there is also a fear that if he misses too much school, he may eventually become discouraged and stop attending, as he is nearing 18. I would love to remove this simple barrier for the family by obtaining an Uber gift card, with the goal of needing to use it infrequently. Alternately, if there was an individual in the community who would be willing to partner with the family to assist with transportation as needed, that could be another great option!

I have a child who is on a trial home placement. He has been struggling significantly in his behaviors, which has necessitated the parents missing a significant amount of time from work to come and pick him up, be in the ER with him, etc. The mother needs help paying her rent for this month, which totals $700, in part because she has been trying to obtain a car after her previous vehicle broke down. Additionally, the mother is incredibly stressed and struggling to find relaxation and self care strategies that help her maintain her sobriety. She reports she used to enjoy art, and noted she has paints, but no canvases. Any help that could be provided to defray some of the rent cost, or to provide her some supplies that would let her do art as a calming strategy would be much appreciated!
