We have a young, single mother of 3 children (ages 1, 4 and 5). She is experiencing unstable housing and financial stress. The mother is a victim of domestic violence and is trying to keep her children sheltered and safe from harm. The mother has been residing with the maternal grandmother in a single unit apartment with the children. The MGM put the mother and children out on yesterday and stole the mother’s food stamps from her EBT card. The mother is not able to purchase any food for herself and the children. She was able to get a room in Hollywood through PATH and is awaiting placement in a DV shelter. DCFS and the agencies involved with this family are working tirelessly to find a residence the mother and children. The mother can be reached on her cell phone and the CSW is able to correspond with the mother accordingly. We are hoping that a donor will pick up this request and provide the family with a $300.00 grocery gift card or purchase food for the family so that the mother and children do not go hungry.

Caregivers wife 55 and husband 57, Are caring for two siblings boy age 15 and sister age 5, They are in Foster care under NUFRM placement. The little girl has Alcohol syndrome and was sexually abused. She has severe behavioral issues; she takes off clothes and urinates and defecates all over the house she thinks is funny and does it also when she does not get her way. they need to replace their sofa They need a new twin bed for her and a couple of protectors The boy is an amazing child. He just had a birthday and is doing well in school and therapy. He has had to experience a lot of abuse by stepfather (sister Dad). He needs a laptop for school. The family has limited funds, are not able to buy one for him that's what he wanted for his 15 b-day gift and was understanding they could cover that expense because only Husband works because of the extreme supervision the 5 year requires and services and medication she takes.

Caregiver age 57 she fell and broke her arm and was unable to work for a few weeks, and is going through a divorce is caring for her 1 nieces age 13 and nephew 10 under Foster care. She also has a daughter 17 and son 25 who help her alot with kids and house chores. She needs a stove. 3 burners are not working, only one burner is working. The three of the kids need their twin mattresses to be replaced. They are soft and uncomfortable and old.

A couple made up of wife and wife raising 2 girls age 12 and 1 boy age 10 who can to them from DCFS due to neglect they are such amazing mothers who work hard to care for these three children, they are thriving with mental health service in place and the love and patience both of them provide. There is Stove just started to leak gas and need one ASAP and their dishwasher was leaking and couldn't get fixed they took it out to air out water leek and haven't had money to replace it, they are hoping we can help replace these two items. This family are afrade that DCFS will pull the kids out because they don't have the Basics appliances required by RFA

This is an emergency situation involving two minors who were detained and placed with their paternal aunt. A previous request was made for bunk beds and two dressers. While one dresser has been received, an additional dresser is still needed to ensure both children have adequate storage space.

The paternal aunt continues to need support in providing a stable home environment.

The caregiver is a aunt who adopted 4 nephews raging 4-17 she is single and is over whelmed Two of the boys 17 yr and 4 yr and the other 2 have behavior issues, i did a Home visit to help with connected to IHSS and called Adoption Assistance Payments to connect Wrap around services, For the other 2 boys and I noticed they only have a love seat not in a good condition and use there dining table chairs to see TV. I was hoping you could help this family with a new couch set so they can all set comfortable and relaxed, she is not able to work full time and funds a limited.

I am currently working with a single mother who is currently in the hospital about to give birth. Mother has a open case with her six year old daughter. Mother has successfully secured housing and is in complete compliance with all court orders. We are tying to prevent the Department from detaining the newborn. Mother needs to have basic necessities when the Department goes to the hospital. Mother has most of the items but not the car seat. Mother continues to work very hard to reunify with her daughter and is following all court orders and recommendations. The case put a financial strain on mother as she had to attend various classes throughout her dependency case and purchasing new items to prepare for the new baby. Mother would be grateful for any assistance , thank you in advance.

Hello, I am working with a 12th grader that has been absent often due to the parent not having enough money for gas. The parent had surgery done and is possibly having a second surgery, the parent has been out of work due to her medical situation and is struggling to provide for her family. While the parent gets back on feet and starts back at work we would like to offer them a $400 gift card to help out with food, gas and other daily items they need. This will improve the well being of this student and sibling and also improve their attendance in school. We appreciate any help that can be provided for this family. An Aunt who is currently a Foster Parent for her 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece needs help with paying a utility bill. The caregiver is a single woman doing her best to provide for 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece. She has been caring for her niece and nephew since January of this year and has fallen behind on her utility bill, if this is not paid the Department of Water and Power will turn off services (the electricity and water) and the child will possibly lose her stable home that she has had for them within the last five months. The Foster Parent/Aunt is in desperate need of assistance with paying her utility bill to keep providing a stable, loving and safe home for her 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece. When this need is met the aunt will be grateful for this assistance and her niece and nephew will not be in jeopardy of being taken out of the current home, they have been living in for the past five months, the 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece will stay in the safe, loving environment with their aunt.

Father is receiving Family Reunification services for his young son. He is requesting assistance with purchasing a Tracfone BLU View 5 pre-paid phone from Target to communicate with child, caregivers and social worker. Father is currently unemployed and is financially struggling as a single parent.

Mother has finished all of her services and is awaiting her final judgement. Her last obstacle is paying off her traffic tickets. The current amount owed is $637.00. Taking care of this debt would help her get her driver's license back and allow her to drive her children and potentially work as an Uber driver. She is struggling financially and does not have the means to pay her tickets.

Youth who is 17 years old with behavioral issues is going back home to mother with the hope she achieves stability there. The plan is for youth to resume school and attend intensive services. Youth is missing clothing items that mother cannot afford at this time. Mother will be graduating from college and works part time.
