This family is receiving Section 8 housing and they have 2 windows broken. The landlord is threatening to evict the family if the windows are not repaired by November 13, 2023. One of the children in the home (17 years old) had a baby 2 weeks ago and the family has no where else to go if they are evicted. The request amount is approximate and be higher or lower. Updated on November 13, 2023 by an Agency Worker The mother in this case has found someone who can repair the windows for a cheaper price. She is now only needing $700. She has stated if she can get at least $500, she can likely come up with the rest on her own.
There is a single mom of two children, 4 year old girl and newborn girl. This mother recently obtained her own place and is in need of some items to help her keep the home picked up and organized as well as physical needs for the children. The 4yo wears a size 5t and could use some winter clothing. The newborn could also use the same.
Three girls have been returned home to their mother. Mom finally got them a place of their own and is in need of new beds for the girls. Due to switching jobs and other moving expenses, buying new beds is not in her budget. The girls have outgrown their current beds, and are in need of new ones to make them more comfortable in their new home.
This request is for a little girl who is residing with her great aunt. This little girl has been so fortunate to have some clothes provided from other resources in Dallas county but now needs somewhere to put them. I am requesting a dresser for this family.
Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is a small fully accredited high school for students that have not been successful in traditional educational settings. Many of our students live in transitional housing, some face homelessness, and virtually all face many many challenges to completing their high school diploma. Most of our students do not live with caring and loving adults that can meet their needs. We would like to provide a warm blanket to each of our 25 students for Christmas to share the love of Christ.
The request is for a family of 5 who are in need of assistance. In the home a single mother, maternal uncle, two boys and a girl. The children have Autism. The family is financially struggling to make ends meet. Mother broke her wrist could not work. Mother relies on maternal uncle to assist with her with caring for the children. Mother want to place children in school she is not able to purchase clothes or shoes for her children. The family in need of beds, mattresses, bedding, towels, sofa and eating table. Mother want to do for her children with limited funds. The help is greatly appreciated.
Trudy:
Also has one full mattress and box spring, and one twin mattress; one dining table with 6 chairs (larger than kitchen table) but may be too large?
This family is fleeing a domestic violence situation. They just moved into a new place and could use some financial help and groceries. The family consist of a mother and her two children (one boy and one girl).
A grandmother had her grandchildren, a 5 year old boy and 7 year old girl, placed with her. Her 4 year old grandson is in need of a new twin bed and mattress as well as bedding. Her grandson loves the cartoon Ben 10. This wonderful grandmother is in the process of becoming a licensed foster home so that she can adopt her grandchildren. The grandmother just started working again after taking time off to get her grandchildren settled in her home and help them with the changes in their lives. She does not receive any assistance from CPS and is requesting help with this need.

A widowed father of 3 children ages 7 years old, 5 years old and 2 years old is in need of assistance. The father is in need of child proof door locks due to the 5-year-old girl being Autistic and the agency having safety concerns of her getting out of the home. The 2-year-old is in need of a high chair and a toddler bed. The children all need clothing as the 7-year-old female wears a size 8/10 youth, 5-year-old female wears 5/6 youth and the 2-year-old male wears a size 2/3T. Helping this widowed father will strengthen the family dynamic and help lessen the burden of this father during this difficult time.

Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is a small high school in South Dallas that is designed for students that need a second, third or fourth chance to earn their diploma. We serve students that have not been successful in traditional school settings. Many of our students do not have loving or caring adults in their lives and often have faced severe trauma. We provide the needed clothing so that our students can meet the dress code. We are in need of black or khaki jeans for students in order that they can comply with the dress standards of the school.
Mom and Dad have newly acquired their own home after living with family. Parents have 4 children. 3 of whom are old age appropriate for their own beds. However, each child is sharing a bed as well as using air mattresses. Family is in need of a bunk bed set and an individual twin bed to ensure stability with safe sleep according to CPS guidelines.
A single caregiver recently had her 6 year old female cousin placed with her. The caregiver previously received permanent custody of her 3 year old and 10 year old female cousins through previous CPS cases. The caregiver has a 2 bedroom apartment and she is requesting one set of bunk beds for her 6 year old cousin and 10 year old cousins for their bedroom as they share a room. In addition, she is requesting mattresses and sheets for the beds. The caregiver works hard to provide for her family and with this case being new she had to purchase other items for her cousin to be settled in her home and cannot afford bunk beds at this time.
We have a single-parent family whose house burned down. The family lost everything. Children are in need of clothes, especially uniforms. Unfortunately, without proper uniform attire, students are not allowed to remain on campus and attend classes. The family also needs furniture, bedding, food, etc. Anything will help this family to recover and help to make them whole again. The children desperately want to continue their studies.

This request is a for a family who is taking care of their newest grandchild. They already care for their oldest grandchild who resides in the home, watch their younger grandchildren during the day who are not in school, and are still able to provide and care for the newest one. They are requesting a dresser that they can turn the top into a changing table.
Mom and Dad would benefit from assistance as they were previously homeless. Both parents are working minimal wage jobs to maintain housing. This assistance would allow the children to maintain stable housing as they have no bedding in the home beyond air mattresses. Parents are working diligently to ensure their bills can be paid moving forward to avoid homelessness. Parents have 3 children. Two males under the age of 2yo and one female 12yo. Parents continue to work diligently to improve their economic circumstances.
Allon:
I know we have twin mattresses. I am going to check to see if we have regular twin bed frames or a bunk bed frame. We also have a coffee table we can provide.
