A grandparent is experiencing a hardship and is needing help upgrading the child's bed from a toddler bed to a twin bed as they have become to tall and old for the toddler bed.

These foster parents are outstanding advocates for the children in their care. One of their current placements is a child undergoing dialysis treatment three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, for several hours each day. Due to her medical needs, foster child is unable to attend traditional school full-time.

Foster mom has been a tireless advocate for the child's education. She has proactively pursued both a 504 Plan and an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to ensure foster child receives the academic support she deserves. Foster mom has coordinated with school district officials, principals, and even representatives from the Kansas Department of Education to secure the best possible resources for foster child.

Thanks to foster mom's efforts, the child will begin a hybrid school program next year, attending in person on non-dialysis days. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the child's first in-person school experience in four years.

The foster family is currently requesting a Chromebook or Amazon gift cards to offset the cost of the Chromebook for the foster child. This is essential for her hybrid learning model. The school district will not provide this resource.

This family is needing assistance with half of their rent. Their 21 year-old son was recently killed in an accident and their 19-year-old daughter who is pregnant is being induced due to the stress of losing her brother. Her younger son is currently permanently disabled. Mother has been unable to work as she has been making arrangements for her son's burial and her the birth of her daughter's child. Mother was unable to cover the entire month's rent because she paid for the burial of her son. There are three other younger children in the home. Any assistance to help this family would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.

For as long as I have worked with this family, they have encountered financial hardship and have been having a really hard time getting back on their feet. It seems as though something else always comes up that poses them a new financial challenge. Oftentimes, the family's close bonds with their neighbors are able to provide a support network for them, but this year, after a very cold and persistent midwest winter, the family has been hit with a large electricity bill that they are having a hard time paying. Mom has tried to set up payments with the company but they have denied her request. Plainly, she does not have the resources available to her to pay this bill in full without serious financial consequences for her and her two children, who she works fiercely to support. I am hoping we can find help in paying off this bill for a family of three impacted by the chronic stress of trying to make ends meet as It is possible they could lose access to utilities. They are looking for a total of $544.16 to cover an Evergy bill.

A mother of four wonderful girls is working on her reintegration case plan tasks diligently. She has worked to get appropriate housing for herself and the kids, and is at risk of losing the housing due to back rent. She owes $1000 in back rent, and has paid off over half, and needs assistance in paying off the rest. Any financial assistance, no matter the amount, is appreciated and a blessing!

This is a single parent home. Mom is currently unemployed and family is making ends meet off of social security disability benefits. Family is functioning within poverty. One of the children in the home has a high level of medical needs with some medical equipment that requires electricity to function (suctioning and feeding pump). A child has had lice for about two months now. She has missed 12 days of school and is now missing end of year testing. Her guardian has not been able to contain the lice with over-the-counter products, and she is in need of professional treatment. I have located a salon in the area that is able to provide services at a discounted rate so that she does not miss any more school. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have a mother that is moving into her own apartment in a couple of weeks and she is in need of a couple items. She has started overnights and we will be moving towards trial home visits this summer. She has overcome her addiction and making such amazing progress.
