The Youth is 15 years old and suffers from very low self-esteem. she wishes to get her hair done for her birthday 7/23/ 25. This would mean a great deal to her.

The home consists of a single mother and her 5-year-old daughter. Mother is not employed and needs assistance with paying her utility bill (lights), which she indicated is $200. I wanted to submit the request on behalf of the family to avoid mother having her lights disconnected.

She is a single mother with eight children. She fell behind on bills due to her car having problems and needing to be fixed. She is behind on her utility bill, and it will be cut off if not paid. She is working to try meet the needs of the children just short this month.

I'm reaching out on behalf of a youth who is currently in foster care who would greatly benefit from a tablet/computer, and clothing. This would allow the youth to have a sense of comfort and normalcy in his current placement. The youth is aged 16, he has an interest in technology, history and science. A tablet/computer would allow him to stay on track with his schoolwork, research community resources, apply for colleges, and maintain healthy connections. It would also offer a form relaxation and age-appropriate entertainment. With the upcoming school year and his 17th birthday approaching, he would benefit from a new wardrobe and shoes to keep up with growth spurts and to feel confident.

The Preparation for Adult Living Team wants every young adult to take advantage of all their benefits. It starts when they first enter PAL at age 14. At age 14 young adults can start participating in Circle of Supports. This is a meeting where all the support team comes together with the young adult to talk about their plans for the future. Where the young adult wants to live, what they want to study in school or what they see for their selves. We want to stress the importance of this with our young adults. We will be partnering with the COS team to throw an Ice Cream Social for our young adults. We want to introduce them to staff and discuss the importance of this. We are looking for support in doing this. We would love a gift card for a grocery store to buy supplies for the Ice Cream Social. We think hanging out discussing with a sweet treat would be a great start. Thank you all for your time.

A kinship family is in need of a stove. The family's stove recently went out the caregiver is unable to buy a new one and the current stove is unfixable. Purchasing this stove with enable a child to stay with this family member and maintain their current placement. The family is currently without a way to cook and provide meals outside of a microwave. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. A used stove is fine as long as it is in working condition.

Client is a single mother to one child. This mom has worked for months to save and find an affordable home. Now that she has found appropriate housing and plans to move in July 12th, she is in need of some household items. She is looking for the following: a twin bed for her child, a dish set, kitchen utensils, and a cookware pan set. She would be appreciative of any new or used donations to get her family back on their feet. Thank you for your consideration!

There is a paternal grandmother in need of food assistance. The kinship caregiver was denied food stamps, and she is the sole caregiver to her 3 grandchildren, ranging in ages from 9 years old to 2 years old. The caregiver is working a full-time job, while still being able to managing caring for her 3 grandchildren. Food panties have already been shared with the caregiver. We are requesting assistance with a gift card to HEB, Walmart, or a VISA card in any amount that could be shared with this kinship caregiver. Thank you for all your help!

We are currently serving a family of 11, but soon to be a family of 12 since the mother is getting close to giving birth to their 10th child. This family has experienced financial stress due to both parents losing their job. Thankfully, one of the parents is now working, but they are still struggling financially. Recently the parents' bed broke (it caved in), and there are real concerns of the mother not getting the rest she needs while being pregnant and very close to her delivery date. Additionally, there are some concerns about her ability for post-partum rest and recovery, especially considering that, in their Garifuna culture, the mother does not leave the home for the first 45 days after giving birth. So, the mom and the newborn are expected to be in utilizing this bed a lot during the first month and a half of the newborn's life. Since only one parent is working and their income has been cut in half, it is currently not possible for them to replace their broken bed. Blessing them with a king-sized bed with bed sheets and pillows would be such a gift for them as our clinical case worker continues to walk with and support them on their journey to becoming self-sustaining. Youth will be attending an academy on July 20 and is need of school uniform for education needs. Youth wears a large in shirt size and 36 size in pants. Uniform attire needed: long sleeve white button up collared shirt with a white tee shirt underneath, black dress pants with a black belt and white socks.

The mother on this case is not working and requires assistance to see her child. She just made us aware that she is unable to get any transportation and really wants to visit her child.

This is a child fatality investigation. I currently have no concerns of physical abuse or physical neglect. The family lost their newborn child, and recently they had to pay for unexpected expenses. Mom also lost her job around the time of the death of her child. I was able to get the surviving kids into daycare so mom can look for a new job and attend grief counseling. Mom said she needs help with diapers for her two youngest kids (1 and 2 years old): Size 7 for the 1-year-old and 3T-4T for the 2-year-old.
