Male student age 17 passed from being hit by car and mental illness. Sibling age 14 grieving. Mother passed away from cancer a few years ago. Father works but does not have all of the money for funeral of 3,000 dollars and add ons. Father reports that student's organs saved three lives, a teen, a toddler and middle aged woman and that his son would have wanted it that way because he was kind. Hospital is going to provide some of the costs but has not informed parent as of yet. Father says any help would be appreciated as he counting on donations to help with services. We have a family displaced to a hotel in the Hobby airport area. We have helped them in various ways including providing mileage reimbursement. However, 2011 Volkswagen Routan SEL has broken several times. She says it gets overheated and uses alot of oil. In addition, the battery is dead. We are not sure exactly what is needed.

The parent was able to replace her battery yesterday. She put oil in it, but it all leaked out. She was able to call a mobile mechanic, and he told her the part that she needed to order from Amazon. It will be here tomorrow. He wants $450.00 for labor. Our new request is someone to put the part on or an affordable resource.

1 year old baby girl in need of diapers size 5 and wipes.

We have a young mother and child age 1 that the shelter has obtained housing for her. She has no family support system and is in need of everything for her apartment. The apartment has the basics refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer etc. She has no pots, pans, towels, furniture, silverware, laundry baskets, cleaning supplies and things of that nature. She is also in need of a stroller for the child.

The bed size needs to be a twin. The room is not large enough to accommodate a full-size bed.

The foster mom reached out to the case manager because the backyard porch has been collecting water when it rains. The family isn’t sure how to fix it but they’d like to find a solution so the foster child can keep playing with their toys outside without any issues.

The family is requesting assistance with repairing their porch; they are thinking about either a deck or raising the concrete but will be thankful for anything.

There may be local programs in area that can provide shuttle safely, I found one for afternoon drop off only for 50 dollars a week but parent needs morning as well. They have no family here to help and child had to stay two days at home to help mother initially with broken foot.

Mother is currently in a shelter with her 1year old son. She recently got a job at McDonalds on last week and although she has childcare the center is closed on this Friday, and they are also closed on Saturdays. Single parent, due to loss of transportation was let go from store employment and is behind on rent. 5 children, ages 4, 13, 15, 16 and 17. Apartments has not had AC fixed in three weeks and just today inspector came to help them order the repair. She was able to pay partial rent and owes a balance 698.00 after going to court and given an opportunity due to A/C as well.. Any amount to assist will be helpful to the family that has been enduring difficult days with warm weather. Also, the parent, and older siblings are all looking for employment. We are meeting monday to help with Texas Workforce and resume writing.
