Hello! Tulsa County recently removed a 13 year old female who will be staying in a Claremore, Rogers County foster home. This child was removed due to abandonment and was not allowed to take any clothing with her. We have found some items for her but it would mean a great deal to this child to have something to claim as her own.
She is sweet, kind, and when you first meet her she lights up the room. She has hopes and dreams to become a forensic pathologist and loves all animals. She enjoys the color pink. When speaking with her she believes that the size clothing that she wears is around a size Small-Medium in shirts and size 0-3 in pants. She is currently wearing a 14/16 in children sizes that are a little small. She also wears a size 7.5 in shoes. She is such a fantastic kid. I know with the communities help it would be a great encouragement to help her with these needs.
We as a community can help make this child feel loved and know that she is not in this alone. Thank you for all your assistance!

Prospective adoptive family is wanting the children to attend a summer program through their church to prepare the children for school in the fall. One of the children needs to adjust to socializing with his peers prior to starting school so it's not such a difficult transition for him due to him becoming easily overstimulated by his peers. This will improve the siblings wellbeing by preparing integration into the classroom and will support the prospective adoptive family so there are already well established routines when the children start to school in the fall and will alleviate the financial burden of the cost of the summer program.

Good afternoon. I’m Christina Flowers, a school-based specialist with Union Public Schools. I’m currently working with a family that consists of a single mother with five children 7 years old and younger. This mom recently started a new job and fell behind on her rent while in between jobs. She was also making large payments toward a debt she owed to avoid garnishment. This single mother agreed to a settlement for this debt that required her to pay a certain amount with the balance being written off. She has reached out to multiple resources provided to her but has been unsuccessful with receiving assistance. This mother is seeking assistance to help her family remain in their home. She stated with assistance she’ll be able to maintain her rent moving forward. The monthly rent is $1200, the outstanding balance is $2750, but any amount will be greatly appreciated.

A mom and dad are experiencing barriers that are preventing trial reunification to start with their 4 year old baby girl. The parents are needing assistance with their maintenance cost for their vehicle. The parents have scheduled court dates that they will need to attend. They are also struggling with getting to and from work. Mom and dad does not have family in the Tulsa area that would be able to assist them at this time. The parents are needing a reliable vehicle so that when reunification starts, they will be able to take their baby girl to school. If anyone could assist with helping this family, any contributions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping our families.

A family is preparing for reunification with their 4 year old baby girl. The parents are having a difficult time with finance. The parents are experiencing barriers that are preventing them to reunify with their baby girl. The parents have applied for multiple apartments. Due to having an overdue balance in their previous apartment complex, they are getting denied. The parents are living in a Motel, that is costing them $300 a week. The parents cannot afford the hotel cost this week and will be sleeping in their vehicle. If anyone could help with contributions for the motel this week, mom and dad would be able to save over time to pay off their balance at the previous apartment complex. Their baby girl will not be able to reunify permanently with mom and dad at a motel. The parents would be grateful for any contributions to help them pay for the motel that they are staying in.

Hello, we are asking for assistance for a rental deposit to assist a family needing to move into a new home. The family has already started trial reunification but the apartment has mold growing in it and the family has made multiple attempts to address it with the apartment complex. Additionally the mother is needing to obtain housing separate from the father on this case due to him not following through on his services and ongoing relational issues.

We are in the process of reunifying a mother and her young daughter. This little girl has not been in custody for very long, but her mother has committed herself fully to changing the conditions that brought her into custody in order to bring her daughter home. As this mom is without a driver's license or vehicle, we have provided her with a bus pass to assist with transportation. In order to assist further, this mom has requested a bicycle to use for independent transportation as well. This request is for a bicycle with a basket for an adult woman. Any help is greatly appreciated! This request can be fulfilled via donation as well, we do not need a brand new bicycle. If anyone has a spare that would fit an adult woman (about 5 foot 5 inches tall), that would work as well!

Mom is about to have two of her sons come home and needs financial assistance and furniture. She was recently reunited with one son and will be reunited with the other two soon. The boys are teen and tweens and are soooo excited to go home and live with mom and each other as the brothers have been separated for several years. Mom just moved into a new apartment and is in need of furniture and help with her first months rent. Items needed are two sets of bunk beds, living room furniture, dishes, kitchen table and chairs and twin bedding. These items will help Mom be able to provide a safe, stable and comfortable environment for the family to be together.
If you can help this family with ANY part of this request, including partial rental assistance, it would be greatly appreciated by the family and child welfare!

This mother recently had a son two months ago who is now residing with the father's cousin. Due to the long commute and limited gas funds, she is not able to frequently visit their son in the home which has discouraged her greatly since the cousin lives in another city 45 minutes away. Her and the bio father both have separate family time visits with their child due to safety concerns which has created another transportation barrier since they both cannot ride together. This mother was previously visiting with her son at the DHS office twice a week, but she was not able to truly connect and bond with her son outside of the home-like setting that is provided at the paternal cousin's home. The mother mentioned that she would love to visit with her son in the home she resides at since she feels a lot more comfortable and less restricted. She also expressed that when she does have enough gas to drive and visit her son on the weekends and after work hours which fits better into her daily/work schedule. She is scheduled to visit sometime this week and would greatly appreciate any assistance offered to help see her son more frequently in a home-like setting and would greatly appreciate any assistance offered.

Hello, I am more than happy to speak on behalf of a mother who has done so well to move out of an unsafe environment and into a safe and stable home. Thank you for everything you do. You are greatly appreciated! If you have anything beyond the list she would be more than happy with any household items.

Loving Kinship placement is needing gas and food card help for two reasons, they are needing to be at court in Antlers OK, and they would like to assist in helping with some visits with mom who lives in Antlers. Gas cards that work in the Antlers area are Shell, mainly or Choctaw, or just a prepaid card of some sort. Feeding a family of four on the road is not easy but being able to eat at McDonald’s, Subway, or Sonic would also be greatly appreciated. This Kinship is trying hard to work with the deep traumas and issues the children have faced and they are working to bridge all that they can at this time. However, they are not a paid placement yet and they have been receiving no help whatsoever. They are unable to assist in any of this without some help. Thank you so much in advance for praying and looking over this family’s need!

This request is to help furnish a dining area (table and chairs) and for a window AC unit. This single mom began trial reunification in April and has worked hard to prepare her life and home for the children to return. She was able to get her own apartment and all of the essentials for her children, but needs help with these extra items. A dining area would give the family a place to come together in the evenings to eat, work on school, and share time together. The weather is getting warmer as we get closer to the summer and AC unit in the children's bedrooms would help them stay cool and comfortable. Any help on this request would be appreciated.
