Single mother is asking for assistance in paying student school fees before 5/22/25 so their child will be able to attend 8th grade promotion. If fees are not paid, the student will not be able to attend the ceremony to acknowledge all of their hard work and accomplishments.

Family is requesting assistance with an electric bill prior to it being disconnected on 5/20/25.

Two children just moved in with a kinship placement, and they are in need of two mattresses. This will help meet the basic needs of the children and ensure the kids have a safe and comfortable sleeping arrangements. When the kids reunify with their father, the beds will follow them so they can still have safe and comfortable sleeping arrangements in their own home as well.

This aunt and uncle are caring for their two nieces and one nephew. Due to this placement happening quickly the couple were not prepared for the three extra people in the home. They are in need of some ideas including 1 twin bunk with bedding and pillow and 1 twin bed with bedding and pillow, 2 dressers and a window screen. These items would help in order to get their home study passed which is necessary to consider them as a more permeant placement.

A Thirteen-year-old boy living with his mother and adult brother requires a bed and bedding. The child is currently sleeping on an air mattress or a couch. Mother has been working at Domino's Pizza and diligently working to improve their living environment, but has not been able to put enough money together to purchase a bed. The bedroom would accommodate a full-size bed. Fulfilling this need would allow the child a comfortable space and a good night's sleep in his own bed. A single father of two is in need of a birth certificate (cost $25 at local Health Dept.) for him to obtain a state ID so he can apply for employment and other community services and food pantries. He also is in need of a electric stove, due to his stove only having 1 burner that works, and the oven no longer works. This will help with the family to prepare meals to ensure the kids are fed well. The children are in need of clothing and shoes. 5-year-old boy wears a 5t or size xs/5. His shoe size is 10c. Then a 3-year-old, size 4t clothing and shoes 9c. This support for the family will help maintain the household and ensure the children's basic needs are met.

This is a family of 4. Mother is single and has a single income to meet the needs of the children. SW went out to the home to complete a walkthrough and found missing pieces of drywall in the children's rooms. One of the rooms has an outlet that is exposed with insulation that is a safety concern. Mother is need of assistance for repairs to the drywall and is not aware of how to fix this on her own and cannot afford to hire someone to help.

Single mother of three children. Mother lives in a trailer that she recently purchased. Mother works full time as a nurse aide at a nursing home. Mother needs assistance with the purchase and installation of a water heater. Currently the family is going to the neighbors home to take hot showers, boiling water on the stove to do dishes, and going to the neighbors to wash some of their clothing.

Mother is a single mom of three boys. Mom works full time. Due to the mental health and behavioral needs of one of her sons, she was let go from her previous place of employment. Mom has recently obtained a new job and is engaging in services to help support herself and her children. Mom is in need of financial help to pay next month's rent to get back on track with her finances and to sustain the family's home. This assistance will help prevent another barrier to the family.

Just this year, the family ​was on the Shelter waiting list, ​sold a car to buy a camper to live in, and​ then has been paying to stay at the Drake Mote​l. The mother left a domestic violence situation in Huber Heights. She came to Springfield to seek ​safety and new opportunities for her and the children. When she arrived in Springfield​, we paid for her and the children to stay at a hotel. ​This mother has gained steady employment, and she is getting everything back on track after a connection with Service Coordination. Her car broke down not too long ago and she was not able to work for a little while, but she is back on track now with a "new to her" car.

I believe above all the connection​s to service​s has helped this mother get back on her feet. The mother has had to jump through many hoops due to her past criminal activity and working through recover​y. But she has now found housing, and has already moved in. In order to not stress her financial situation, she has reluctantly asked for help in getting items for her new home.

​I​ am hopeful that keeping this housing and having stability ​will change things for her ​and her children. She ​is the poster parent of how to get yourself out of a bad situation and change things for your future! I admire her, and when you meet her you will understand how hard it was to turn things around. But she did it!

A mother of an infant and preschooler is struggling to consistently wash clothing for her children due to not owning a washer and dryer and not being able to afford washing at a laundromat on a regular basis. The mother needs help securing a portable washer and dryer and cannot afford to purchase one. Owning a portable washer a dryer will allow the mother to clean clothes on a regular basis and keep the children healthy and thriving.

Mother is a single mother of three daughters, 17, 13, and 9. The family is requesting assistance for beds and dressers for the children. This request will help ensure that the children have a safe and stable home. There have been concerns that the children are not attending school on a regular basis or arriving tardy.
