Mom is requesting 500.00 and is asking for help and doing Uber / and Door Dash to get additional funds. Her family is helping to assist her as well. Mom recently got a raise from her employer because of good work ethic.

I am requesting a donation of $1000 for a family as they have incredible need at this time. In February of 2025, the father, suddenly died after years of being hospitalized and treated for various medical conditions. A month prior to his death, the family of 6 moved into the home he owned. Unfortunately, the house needs major repairs beyond their savings as the roof is leaking and there is a broken window. I am requesting from Care Portal funds to fix the window, which has been estimated to cost $500. In addition to the home repairs, the mother is now the sole caregiver of four children (ages 1, 12, 14, and 17) and needs support with the cost of food (About $200 a week) and diapers (Size 4 diapers for a female). The family is open to any support they can receive.

With minor children at home, electricity is more than just a convenience; it is the foundation of their daily lives. It means warm meals, completed homework assignments, and a sense of normalcy. It means that their home remains a safe haven, not a battleground of financial despair. She was able to make a partial payment by taking some funds from the rent money to pay electric bill. She still owes them $382.30. Please assist this family in and show them an act of compassion that will ensure the children continue to thrive and allow Mom to get back on her feet. This grandmother has spent the last four years caring for her granddaughter since birth. She's in the process of guardianship/adoption with assistance from Legal Aid. Her social security income stretches thin, barely covering their basic needs. Still, she finds joy in simple things—her granddaughter's laughter, the quiet moments of bedtime stories and an unwavering belief that they’ll make it through. Recently, their small stove and refrigerator that made their home functional, were stolen. Without a refrigerator, fresh food is impossible to keep, and hot meals are a distant memory. The grandmother worries about the child is missing out on nutritious, warm meals that every child deserves. Through all this she has remained steadfast and caring for her granddaughter. This young woman is recently separated from her husband and has just learned that she is pregnant. She is committed to continuing her pregnancy, but the transition has brought financial challenges, and she is understandably anxious about her ability to provide for her child. She is currently in urgent need of assistance with her phone bill, which is scheduled for disconnection on May 17th if not paid. In addition to this, she is also struggling to keep up with housing and car payments. Any support we can offer during this difficult time would mean a great deal to her. My client is a single father of a one-year-old and is currently homeless staying at different hotels. He is currently looking for employment and needs help with resources for himself and his son. The father needs assistance with childcare as well. The child is in need of clothing (3t-4t), Pull-ups (size 4-5), shoes, and toys. The father is in need of resources for food and hygiene products as well as clothing. Any resources or support is much needed.

2 little girls (5 and 7) recently came into care and are residing with their maternal grandmother. New beds and bed frames have been ordered for the children, but the caregiver needs assistance financially with bedding and supplies needed for the children to sleep comfortably.

She is humbly asking for assistance with a food card of $250 that would allow her access to hot meals, ensuring her family has sustenance beyond what she can currently manage. Any support during this difficult time would be a beacon of hope, allowing her to focus on rebuilding for her children.
