DCS has connected us with a single mom of eleven kids who recently worked the steps with DCS to get her kids reunified with her. She has had struggles to provide as a single parent, but is doing an amazing job. Very recently she was able to move into a home in Nashville, but there are some items she still needs to furnish the home. Many of the kids need new beds and they don't have any living room or dining room furniture. Let's wrap around and support this mom who is working hard to give her kids a better life and home environment.

We have wonderful family, who attend our Brick Church Campus and they are in need of some support , the mother recently had her hours cut at her job which took a strain on her financially and she had to use a fair portion of her savings to make ends meet, now that her hours back to regular she hasn't fully recovered enough to get her Water bill back up to current, now the metro water might disconnect her water because her account is extremely past due.It would be greatly appreciated to anyone who can provide towards the goal amount for this family .Were are hoping to support this family to prevent there water being turned off as we know that it can impact greatly the lives of our student and her siblings. DCS is working with a bio family who are going through a rough time. They are in need of a twin bed for one of their girls (11). Her bed is sagging and in really bad shape. She also sleeps directly on the mattress, so we like to bless them with bedding for her as well.

DCS and a local non-profit are working with a family on a kinship placement. There are 3 girls in the home (5, 7 and 10). They already have a twin bed for one of them, but are in need of bunkbeds for 2 of the girls. We are trying to get them new bedding to go with their beds as well. Please help these kids stay together.

DCS is working with a grandma on a kinship placement for her 4 grandkids. She has most of the items but is in need of a toddler bed for the 2 yr old. Having the toddler bed will help the family all stay together and have a safe space to sleep for all of them.

We have a LEAD Cameron Family that is needing support with this month rent. Work has been slow for the primary income earner in the household and they have had to use the money they have collected for food and household items. The other guardian was able to pick up work to also earn some income but just started this week and therefore will have to wait for a paycheck. It would be greatly appreciated to anyone who can provide towards the goal amount for this family as their landlord has been threading them with eviction. We are hoping to support this family to prevent homelessness as we know that it can impact greatly the lives of our student and his siblings. There is a need for one of our sweet moms who is 7 months pregnant. We met her when she was 12 weeks pregnant and seeking an abortion. OSL has been walking closely with her since her choice for life, and helping her meet her basic needs as she grows into the best mom she can be. Unfortunately, she does not have her own transportation and depends on Lyft to get around. She was recently put on bed rest because of medical issues and cannot work, so consequently it is harder for her to meet her monthly bills. We are seeking help by providing Lyft funding to help her get to doctor appointments.

We are asking for help for a mom who at one time thought abortion was the answer to her problems. After choosing life, we have been helping her through some challenges she was facing in life. We are happy to say she was doing amazingly well and then got into a car accident with the three children in the car. Between the accident, not having a vehicle, and needing to take her children to doctor appointments, she has lost time (and money) at work and is now struggling to make all next months bills. If we can get help for her October rent payment, she could breath easier and meet her other obligations. Thank you for helping us meet her needs.

AGAPE has had contact with a 15 year old teen mom for the last nine months. On Sunday (9/10), her 9 month old baby tragically died and our teen mom re-entered foster care. We are hoping to provide her with a funeral for her baby and she is also hoping to have the baby buried in her home country, Guatemala. The estimated cost to have the baby buried out of the country is $10,000, with possible additional costs for the funeral hosted here in Tennessee. the funeral home is graciously covering the majorly of the cost for this baby’s funeral. at this time, AGAPE is needing to cover about $1,500 of the expenses.

DCS is requesting help supporting a foster placement in Maury County. The youth has expressed they need some physical outlet for his anger and it was recommended to get a punching bag and/or drum set for him. Both items will really help him express his anger issue in a positive way.

*** Safe Baby Court Request *** Department of Children’s Services is working with a family needing assistance. The parents have worked hard over the last year to reunite their young family. The father is a veteran of the United States Army and worked on his mental health needs. The parents are at the point of preparing for a trial home visit within the next few months and have just received the keys to their 3-bedroom apartment. The parents have full-time jobs, have started over, and are rebuilding their home for their 13-month-old boy and 7-year-old little girl. The case manager did a walk-through and created a list of needs: They need all household furniture and housewares (again, they are starting from scratch) -Side tables, a couch, accent chair, kitchen table and chairs, microwave, Housewares including pot & pans and dishes, a bed for the 7-year-old, and dresser drawers or anything a home needs. They are grateful to be considered and appreciate any help they receive. Second hand items are OK.
