Kinship provider has been driving children to visits and several appointments. She is asking for additional help with a gas card. She is in the process of getting assistance, but is really needing help.

A kinship provider, maternal aunt, took in her 2 nephews and niece after there were concerns of neglect in their home with their mother. Maternal aunt is a young single mother of 3 herself, and adding 3 additional children to her household has been a lot. Her 9 year old niece has down syndrome and has a tendency to wonder and leave the home. Maternal aunt has taken child proofing measures and had a ring camera for extra safety however, her ring camera recently broke. She is wanting a new ring camera to ensure the safety of the children in the home.

Foster mom has anywhere between 3 and 5 teenagers in her home at any given time. She works will all of her placements on independent living skills to include helping them get jobs and extra curriculars. Currently she has a 13 year old and 16 year old girl that would really benefit from bikes. The 16 year old is currently walking about a mile each way for work and a bike would significantly help in maintain this job. Additionally, the 16 year old helps watch the 13 year old over school breaks so a bike for each girl would be used during this time. Their foster mom has paid for them to have a gym membership that is within biking distance but she is not always available to transport them. Thank you!

Youth is working on their independent living skills and is needing a bike so that he can get to and from his summer job. This bike would also improve this child's life by providing transportation to the gym while his kinship providers are at work.

Family is in need of help in the form of a grocery store gift card who is in great need and well deserving! Here is their story: A cousin has been caring for 3 kids on our case, ages 8, 9, and 16. This cousin is also very young, but she has been doing an amazing job caring for these kids for quite some time now. She makes sure they attend school and also monitors the 16-year old's newly diagnosed diabetes. The last few months have been very stressful and difficult, and any help would be greatly appreciated by the family.

A single mother with 3 children will give birth to her 4th child in two weeks. This young woman has very little relational support in her life at this time and no family. Because her youngest child is well out of his baby years, this mama does not have many baby supplies and is still in need of a travel system. Having this larger cost item covered would allow her to transport the baby safely to appointments and outings, as well as allow her sparse income to go towards essentials like rent and groceries, ensuring she doesn't have to choose between feeding or housing her family. This client is moving into a Warren village and needs assistance with furniture and bedding. The parent is currently unemployed any help with any furniture new or used would greatly be appreciated by this family. They are in need of the following items: King size Box Spring, bedding for King size and girl bedding for a toddler bed, 2 dressers, dining room table for 4, couch, and window curtain. The family would be so thankful with any help and with anything new or used. (prices listed are average prices on Amazon, anything would be helpful)

The youth is waiting for a residential placement. He enjoys reading novels and joke books and would like some books to keep him busy while he waits for placement.

a newborn baby girl is in need of a crib, newborn diapers, and infamil neuro pro formula (yellow can). the baby was placed in a kinship home with her half brother and was born just last week.

The Department is working with a family with a 1-year-old boy. They are currently in need of size 4 diapers and unscented baby wipes. The father recently switched jobs and the mother recently lost her job after missing work for mental health reasons. She is currently interviewing for new jobs. They are struggling with this expense as a result. The mother has completed her treatment and the father is in compliance with every aspect of his treatment plan, fully unsupervised with their baby, and nearing case closure. Assistance with this need so that the family can keep their child in home as they work towards case closure is greatly appreciated!

Kinship provider is maternal grandmother. They are moving into a new home and she needs help with a rug and a dresser for her grandson. He is three years old. I have been working with a father that has been working hard for the past year to achieve and maintain sobriety in order to be the father his children deserve while their mother still struggles with substance use and is not currently involved in their lives. This father has done amazing work in his treatment, maintained sobriety, participated in counseling continuously, attends parenting groups weekly, got his children enrolled in school and their own counseling, and is now involved in the parental advisory board at his children's school. The father is in the midst of a lengthy custody dispute with the absent mother in the midst of preparing for his son to graduate from Kindergarten. Finances are a huge barrier for this father and I know he is so proud of the accomplishments of his child that is graduating and is wanting to celebrate how far his child has come and how far he and his boys have come as a family. Please consider donating a visa gift card for this family to ensure that the father is able to properly celebrate his child on graduation day without having to worry about the financial burden related to the celebration.
