Resource Linkage is working with a single mom of 3 who is currently working but does not have transportation. The mother has asked for help with getting her license reinstated. The family moved here from Michigan for a fresh start. The mother has a vehicle that is in need of repairs. She would like to be able to get if fixed and to drive again. The family currently relies on family, friends and bus transit to get around. This can be very taxing for a family of 4. The reinstatement fees total $576, this assistance will give mom a good start to having reliable transportation again.

The foster parent is in need of a few essentials for the 15-day-old baby boy she welcomed last week. (blankets, bottles and bouncer)

Hello CarePortal Family! I have a family that has recently fallen on some hard times. A mother and two children (both under 5) are being evicted from their home and have to be out of the home by Sunday (6/15/25). The family has nowhere to go and needs help with emergency housing. This is a single mom doing the best she can and just trying to provide for her two young children. Mom recently lost her job due to an older sibling that would help watch his younger siblings no longer being in the home and mom lost that support. Mom just recently applied for food stamps and is applying for new jobs to try and get back on track with stable employment and funds. Mom is still going to need help with babysitting her other two children while she works during this time and is working to establish supports in the community in this area. She is doing everything she can to try and get back on her feet even though she has very little support in TN. The family moved here from Mississippi within the last couple years as a fresh start and doing the best they can during a difficult time. We are asking for help for this family with an emergency hotel room for a week while mom continues to apply for jobs and assistance. DCS will have a meeting during this time to continue to gameplan with mom about next steps and anymore assistance is needed.

There is a need for entertainment for the youth that are waiting on foster placement. Age-appropriate DVDs for youth (12 to 17, male and female) that do not have any violence, inappropriate language, or sexual relations. Board and card games that are for 2 or more people, youth age coloring books and colored pencils, books, arts and crafts kits as well.

Youth is currently in DHR custody and doesn't have any family support. She has obtained a job and needs transportation to and from work. The store closes at 11pm, but she normally gets off at 12pm. The youth is excited to work but doesn't want to lose her job due to transportation issues. She would greatly appreciate it if she could get an Uber pass to assist with transportation until she's able to pay for transportation.

We had a child come into care this past weekend and we were fortunately able to find her a home she can stay long-term. The foster mother has a queen bed for the foster child she currently has; however, she will need twin beds so that both girls can stay in her home since foster children cannot share beds. The girls are 13 and 15.

Mom needs assistance with paying for a week at a hotel. She has been living in hotel since February as it is the only place she can get at this moment. She gets paid next week but is not able to pay for this week. If she does not pay by tomorrow morning, then she will have to move out of hotel and will be homeless. Mom has plans to move to KY as soon as she can but as for now, she has to stay at the hotel.

While a youth is receiving treatment for serious behavioral issues in Texas, a mother is working diligently in keeping up with the household and bills from daily life. In order for her to visit with her child, she needs assistance getting to him. She has a car and is willing to drive, but will need help with gas and a hotel. TAK has been assisting this family and has committed to continuing to help until he is able to be placed closer to home.

Travel will take place 6/12-6/14

Youth is currently in custody of DHR custody. Youth goal is to become independent; youth has recently obtained a job. Youth hours are 6:30pm-4:30am. Youth first day of work is 6/12/25 and is in need of transportation to work (sometimes)and from work (3 times a week) until she is able to save her money. An uber pass would greatly be appreciated to ensure that the youth would be able to keep her job.

Mother is not financially stable to buy and bedding for the home. Home is in need of 5 twin mattress, 5 twin sheet sets, pillows and 1 sofa set.

Mom and adult daughter (who is pregnant) and 14 month old child live in the home and they need help with a water bill. They live in Sequatchie county. Water company is TN American. The family is the owner of the property.

A mom is in need of help to stay at a hotel one more week. She is hoping to move to KY next week when she gets paid and needs assistant in staying in the hotel one more week.
