The agency has been court ordered to assist a teen mother with obtaining a cell phone to maintain contact with her caseworker and agency. A pre-paid phone for at least 6 months-1 year. We would also like to request a tablet to assist her with participating in services for the agency.

Foster mom has anywhere between 3 and 5 teenagers in her home at any given time. She works will all of her placements on independent living skills to include helping them get jobs and extra curriculars. Currently she has a 13 year old and 16 year old girl that would really benefit from bikes. The 16 year old is currently walking about a mile each way for work and a bike would significantly help in maintain this job. Additionally, the 16 year old helps watch the 13 year old over school breaks so a bike for each girl would be used during this time. Their foster mom has paid for them to have a gym membership that is within biking distance but she is not always available to transport them. Thank you!

Youth is working on their independent living skills and is needing a bike so that he can get to and from his summer job. This bike would also improve this child's life by providing transportation to the gym while his kinship providers are at work.

Family is in need of help in the form of a grocery store gift card who is in great need and well deserving! Here is their story: A cousin has been caring for 3 kids on our case, ages 8, 9, and 16. This cousin is also very young, but she has been doing an amazing job caring for these kids for quite some time now. She makes sure they attend school and also monitors the 16-year old's newly diagnosed diabetes. The last few months have been very stressful and difficult, and any help would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Dallas County Permanency Court Judge Gonzales has 15 youth who have never been adopted graduating from high school this year. Some are going to college, some are staying in extended care, and some are going into the work force. We would like to provide each of them with “Launch Baskets” to support them as they enter adulthood without family supports. Each launch basket will be tailored to each youth’s specific situation and preferences and will include a Bible and items such as new bedding, kitchen and cleaning supplies, and gift cards. A single mother with 3 children will give birth to her 4th child in two weeks. This young woman has very little relational support in her life at this time and no family. Because her youngest child is well out of his baby years, this mama does not have many baby supplies and is still in need of a travel system. Having this larger cost item covered would allow her to transport the baby safely to appointments and outings, as well as allow her sparse income to go towards essentials like rent and groceries, ensuring she doesn't have to choose between feeding or housing her family. The mom is currently not working due to having a baby. She hasn't been able to work since having the baby. Dad currently is working on and off jobs and at the moment they do not have income and family is helping. Mom stated she went to food stamps and applied,but she is currently waiting for the application to be processed. The family is needing help with groceries and baby items.

I am requesting assistance to help a young adult who is 18 years old and in foster care. He has been accepted to a university, and will be moving to his first Supervised Independent Living placement (SIL) College dorm outside of Houston. This is his first home that he will live in independently after living in foster homes. He is currently in his last semester of high school and expects to graduate in the end of May 2025. He is currently unemployed and has been diligently applying to part time jobs to help him cover his cost of living. He is in need of assistance of purchasing a mini fridge, school supplies (pens, binder, etc.), Tupperware, first aid kit, umbrella, shower cady for his dorm. Any assistance he would be grateful. We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share that a family is in urgent need of rental assistance. Recently, the family faced an unforeseen hardship due to a recent hospitalization, and as a result, they have fallen into a difficult financial situation. Despite these challenges, the family is determined to keep their 17-year-old grandchild in school so they can finish out this school year.

Right now, they are $550 short on rent, and with the threat of eviction looming this coming Monday, we are desperately seeking any support that can help them stay afloat during this tough time. I have a family of 3. The home has a major roach infestation. Mom has stated that she has to place her food outside in the storage due to the roaches being in the cabinet. The family has brought the issue to the attention of the leasing office. Unfortunately, the family never received any assistance. Family is asking for help with exterminator services and a deep cleaning service so once the home is treated they don't have this issue again.

This client is moving into a Warren village and needs assistance with furniture and bedding. The parent is currently unemployed any help with any furniture new or used would greatly be appreciated by this family. They are in need of the following items: King size Box Spring, bedding for King size and girl bedding for a toddler bed, 2 dressers, dining room table for 4, couch, and window curtain. A dedicated single mother of three children is doing her best to balance work and her health in the midst of job searching.
