Mother could use assistance with receiving a pack and play for her 21 month old son and a crib for her 9 month old daughter. The family will need a fitted sheet for the crib as well to ensure safe sleep is being followed. Providing these items will ensure the children have safe sleep arrangements and improve their well being. Thank you!

DCS has been invoked since April of 2025. Mother of child is deceased and father has not been in contact with DCS since the opening of this case. The child was previously placed in foster care in Lake County and just recently moved back to Marion County. The previous bed for the placement broke before the child arrived and FCM bought child an air mattress for the time being. Placement needs assistance with a new bed for the child that is more sustainable than an air mattress.

Single mom living at Blackhawk Commons with a growing child that needed a bigger bed. She found a loft frame for free but needs a full size mattress only and bedding. She has two other children in the home but they have beds. All children have a disability. Mom also has a low cognitive disability.

I am working with a little boy (age 4) who is growing out of all of his clothes. His mother made a comment that he's wearing clothes too small for him during visits. When FCM spoke with the relative care provider, they expressed a hardship currently. They cannot purchase the boy new clothes at this time and asked if DCS could assist. Unfortunately, we already provided a clothing voucher upon removal and cannot provide another one. If someone could purchase some outfits for this little boy, it would be amazing. He is currently supposed to be wearing 5T clothing, but most of his clothes are 3T and 4T. You can purchase a gift card to a store, or just purchase some outfits for this guy. He's not picky! Some specific needs are a light jacket, shorts, t-shirts, pants/jeans, anything else you like... Thank you so much for your consideration!

I am working with a foster mother and 10 yr old girl (turning 11 on 6/27/25) and she would LOVE an iPad for her birthday! This would also really help the foster parents with providing consequences and rewards for her behavior. Her behavior has improved greatly since being placed in the foster home, but this tool would definitely help. It would also give this girl the birthday gift of her dreams. Since being placed in foster care, she has seen neither her mom, nor her dad. Both of them have been very difficult to reach to get visits set up. Prior to being removed from her father's care, he told her that if she went to foster care, she would never see him again. He also told her that she would probably be sexually assaulted because she it cute. The little girl, obviously was afraid and displayed some challenging behaviors when she first came into foster care. However, her foster mom, who is very experienced, stuck it out and things have really improved. If you are able to fulfill this request, I would also ask that the iPad come with a protective case (she requested Hello Kitty, if you can find one!).

A grandmother is placement for her two granddaughters, ages 9 and 10. She is requesting two medical lockboxes to keep her and her father's medication in.

Child is a 15 year old female who was in the care of grandmother. Grandmother past away in February of 2025. Child is currently living with a family friend and could use help with food and clothing. Caregiver is currently not work.

Family has had to relocate and is need of assistance for some basic items. Move fees and costs ended up exhausting parent funds and any help/support is appreciated. Single mom of three children has requested the following with specific brands at times where there is a health concern noted; several children have sensitive skin so brands are listed as preference based on what has been most successful with skin issues. Family was recently homeless, living in a hotel and now have moved into a trailer in Sheridan, IN. The youth is in need of a full size mattress and box spring so that he has a bed and proper place to sleep at night. Mother said that they do not need the frame but would be grateful so youth will get a restful nights sleep on a new mattress and box spring. This youth would also need bedding for this bed - comforter, sheets, pillows, etc. He is a 10 year old boy. Thank you!

A godmother is placement for her godson, aged 18 months. She is requesting a crib for him to sleep in, to help follow safe sleep.

A kinship caregiver is placement for her godchildren, ages 1 and 4. She is requesting a queen-sized mattress protector, as she is working on potty training the 4-year-old. She is also requesting a lockbox for her firearm ammunition.

A grandmother is placement for her two grandsons. She is requested smoke and CO2 detectors, as well as a fire extinguisher. She is also requesting twin mattress protectors, as she is potty training the children. She is requesting twin sized sheets for their beds, as well.
