This would help a Aunt and uncle to four children, a two-year-old female, four-year-old female, 6-year-old male, and 11-year-old female, are caring for the children in addition to their children. They are working through challenges in finances in uncles off season at work. Aunt's and uncle are working full time; however, uncle's employment is seasonal, and he is facing challenges in keeping up with the increase to utilities and maintaining other bills. Their rent is 2,200 and they are also facing a $600 balance on their utility bill. They have received some support to stay afloat on their fixed bills but would greatly benefit from additional financial support in gas and grocery gift card to King Soopers. If this need is met the children will continue to reside with their family where their existing connections and cultural identity can be fostered while have all of their needs met. The family would greatly benefit from any aide, for any amount.

DHS is working with a baby boy, 9 month old and his maternal family. Baby boy's mother passed away at the beginning of March and his maternal grandmother has now become his new caregiver and is in need of some basic supplies for him until she can establish public assistance for him.
Baby does not have his own sleeping area and is low on supplies. Family needs help with a crib, crib mattress, bedding for the crib, size 3 diapers, Enfamil NeuroPro Gentlease (purple) formula, and baby snacks-yogurt and puff snacks.
The family is still grieving their loss of a family member while taking on a primary role for an infant and the basic items will help them focus on the care of the baby and less on obtaining supplies. This will also help ensure that that baby has a safe environment.

Tracy:
Please advise; do I provide the mattress or the funds to buy one? I have had no luck with actually providing anything through this site. I'm concerned this one may fail too.

CASA has a case with a young man who is 9-years-old that has been open almost four years after he was neglected and sexually abused and there was ongoing and unsafe substance use by his parent. This sweet boy is autistic and has been in over a dozen placements due to his abnormal behaviors and his reaction to traumatic situations, including being re-abused in foster care. He is currently in a group home-type setting out of county. The home takes the boys swimming at a recreation center regularly and this young man would like to be able to go. CASA is requesting a VISA gift card for $36 to help cover two punch cards so he may go swimming 20 times over the next couple of months OR the community member can pay the rec center over the phone for the punch cards. The youth is placed in the Denver area so the gift card will need to be handed off to the advocate who will deliver it. Thank you for considering help this young man get to swim with his peers!

The Host Home received the youth in her home on 01/20/2023 but has not received payment for his room and board since he arrived. This is putting a strain on the host home. EPCDHS is required to make the first few payments until SLP has been approved and payment begins.
The Host Home has not been paid rent for the youth placed in her home for room and board.
The provider will be able to pay their rent and provided for the youth.

Hello everyone! I am currently working with a to help find resources here in El Paso County. Family does not speak English and are struggling to pay rent. The family consists of a 17 year old mom (in school) and their aunt, who is their main support. However, the aunt just went through surgery due to cancer and is currently recovering. She has not been able to return to work due to the surgery and is behind 2 months of rent. She is in need of $1460, and we have looked into both catholic Charities, where it's possible she will have to wait a long time and the hospital, however, they did not offer any case management to see if there is a need. I am able to help with $730 of the rent and was hoping to come on here to see if I can get this family help with the remaining amount. The aunt will be back to work by the end of the month and has a plan with the landlord once these 2 months are covered. Thank you for reading!
