A single mom recently moved from the shelter into her own apartment with her daughter with special needs. Her daughter is blind, autistic and has other complications from Optic Nerve hypoplasia. Mom states that she works but with her rent being $900 a month it has left her unable to provide a few necessary items. The home does not have a working a/c and high heat places the young child at risk of a stroke. A window unit could help provide comfort and wellbeing for the child. The home could use a few items including couch cover up as well as girls clothes size 10-12. Mom also stated that her daughter’s favorite item is an electric keyboard piano but she accidentally bumped into it and it broke. She has not been able to afford to buy a new or used one. A used one that someone could donate would be great! Any help with these few items would be greatly appreciated and significantly improve the life of a mom and child who have been through a lot.

A devoted grandmother, who has lovingly stepped in to raise her eight-year-old granddaughter, is in need of support to provide her with school uniforms. She is doing everything she can to care for her granddaughter, but being on a fixed income and facing reduced work hours during the summer—due to her job with Columbus City Schools—has made it difficult to afford the essentials. The cost of the uniforms is around $200, and any support would mean the world to this family. Your kindness would help ensure this little girl can start school feeling confident and prepared.

An 8 year old child was placed with her adult sister. The adult sister has two children of her own, who are also in the home. The 8 year old child is in need of a twin bed, including a frame, mattress and bedding. There is minimal storage space for the 8 year old's belongings, so a dresser would be helpful as well. Getting these items would help preserve this placement, as we want the child to remain in this relative's home. The caregiver recently moved to a bigger home to accommodate the 8 year old, so the family needs additional support with these items for the child.

A loving grandmother in our community is currently in a season of transition and starting over with her family. As they work to rebuild, they’re in need of several essential items to create a stable and welcoming home. Some of their most urgent needs include: a washer and dryer, a dish set, two beds complete with blankets, frames, box springs, comforters, mattress protectors, and pillows, as well as two couches.

A family of four in our ministry is currently in need. Though we’re heading into the warmer months, they are without adequate blankets—something that’s still essential for cool nights, comfort, and a sense of stability in their home. Meeting this need will bring not only practical support, but also a reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for by their community.

Please help preserve a kinship placement. The caregiver has been pivotal in the care and well-being of the children since the children were removed from their parent's custody. The caregiver has prioritized the needs of the children, has assisted in providing the children with a loving and nurturing home that promotes a healthy development of the children. The caregiver is a strong advocate for the children and she provides them with their basic needs. However, she is in need of bedding for the three children.

The request is for a bunkbed with mattresses , and a twin bed with frame and mattress. and a 4-6 draws dresser for the children.

The children are sharing a bedroom and the requested bunkbed/beds would help allow the children to have appropriate sleeping arrangements and maximize space in the bedroom to move about. The dresser would allow the children to have proper storage of their clothes. The standing lamp would allow the children to have appropriate lighting in their bedroom to do school work and interact.

Unfortunately, the caregiver recently lost her employment. This has added to the difficulty of getting the children appropriate bedding. Alternative supports were explored to assist the caregiver in purchasing the above mentioned items, but the efforts were unsuccessful.

Hello church family! We have been walking together with a mom who has a 17 yr old daughter who is having a baby boy this Easter weekend! Let's shower this family with meals for the next couple of weeks so they can focus on caring for this new little one.

We had a family of 10 come to us about 2 weeks ago. They had moved here from Arizona with housing lined out and a job. Unfortunatley the housing fell through 2 hours before they got to Oklahoma. They were forced to use the funds they had to live in a hotel. When that money ran out they came to us and we were able to put them up for 2 weeks. During that 2 weeks the father started working and has found a 5 bedroom home locally but doesn't have the full amount for the deposit. They can move in as early as today but are missing that 1200.00. Thank you in advance for your faithfulness!

The number of youth in CWOP have increased and DFPS has requested assistance with building Busy Boxes for the youth staying in local hotels.

A single mother of three young children (ages 10, 6, and 4) is in urgent need of support. She has been diagnosed with cancer and has undergone multiple surgeries, which caused her to miss numerous days of work. As a result, she has fallen behind financially. Her car was recently repossessed, and she has received an eviction notice for her apartment.

Although she works full-time and receives state assistance for food and medical coverage, she is unable to catch up on her rent and car payments. The stress has also impacted her children’s education, as transportation issues have led to school tardiness, putting their charter school enrollment at risk.

Meeting this $3,000 need will help her recover her vehicle and stabilize her housing situation. It will provide her the ability to continue working, transport her children to school and medical appointments, and keep her family together in their home. Your support will bring much-needed relief and hope to a family in crisis.
