B is an expecting mother. She is 18 years old pregnant with her first child. She is almost 37 weeks. She has worked hard to obtain all items needed for her unborn son. She tried to purchase a car seat off of market place but one she got home she noticed that there were no straps included with the car seat, the person would not answer her calls or return her money. She has tried several places to get the car seat and has not had any luck with them. Because she is so close to delivery, she is in need of a car seat with straps to safely bring her child home. She is also in need of receiving blankets. She has heavy blankets but would like a few lighter blankets.

A uncle and aunt took emergency placement of their 15 year old niece, 13 year old nephew and 6 year old nephew two weeks ago. Since then they have endured an increase in expensive that they were unable to plan for as the children were emergency placed with them. They have had to purchase more groceries, beds, and hygiene items. The families immediate needs are: a few sports bras for the 15 year old female, 2 sets of twin sheets and food. The family could benefit from a gift card to either Amazon or Online so they can purchase some more necessary items. If this need is met the placement will be able to continue to afford having their brother's children live with them and keep them out of foster care.

A single mom of 2 is in need of support!

Mom, a survivor of domestic violence, works full time as a bus driver, but is still struggling to make ends meet. She cares for her 2 children, an 11-year-old and a 2-year-old. The 2-year-old currently shares a bed with mom as she has not had the means to afford to get him his own bed. This leads to dysregulated sleeping for her and the 2-year-old. She is looking for help with getting a toddler bed for the 2-year-old to provide him a safe and appropriate place for sleep.

I am reaching out on behalf of a young mother and her 3-year-old daughter who are in need of support. They recently moved to Colorado Springs and are starting over with very little. The mother and daughter have been sharing an air mattress, and the little one is in need of a bed of her own. It would make a huge difference in their lives. When hardship hits, we turn to our church family. A dedicated single mom of 4, who also cares for a young adult who has aged out of the foster care system, needs our help. She works full-time as a home health aide driving up to 70 miles a day to care for her clients, part of what she does is taking them to appointments, and picking up prescriptions and groceries. She also drives her kids to school daily. One afternoon, after school pickup, she was hit by a driver who fled the scene. Thankfully, she and the kids were unharmed, but her car was badly damaged and had to be towed. With no backup vehicle, she’s rented a car for 3 weeks to keep working and caring for her family but she can’t afford to keep renting a car. To keep insurance affordable, she has a high deductible. She’s saved $600 but still needs $1,400 to get her car out of the body shop this week. The body shop won’t accept payments, and the charities she contacted don’t cover this type of need. The children’s father is not involved or supportive. Church family, let’s come together and help this hardworking mom and her kids get their car back. No gift is too small. 127 Place received a request from a member of a local church for a mom with three pre-school-age kids who are living in a motel. This family is from out-of-town looking for safety and a new life. They have no family support. They were just approved for an apartment with a move-in date of June 1, but they need help with deposits.

Mom started a job recently and has raised about half of the deposits. 127 Place is committing $500, but that leaves about $400 still needed for the deposits.

There is a single mom with 2 kids who is trying to get on her feet. She has worked hard to get her rent paid for this month and is needing assistance with her utility bill. she has a cutoff on her electric for the 27th of this month. A young family of 2 children ages 1 and 7 years old are requesting a washer and dryer as they moved into a house from an apartment. The couple have been here from Venezuela for about 2.5 years and help out at Centro Cristiano a Las Naciones with leading music. They moved from an apartment which had a washer and dryer and now they need to provide for their own. The father is looking for work and does odd jobs to help pay for rent, bills, food, clothing, etc. A washer and dryer will help mom take care of her kids so that they will be able to attend school and help their hygiene.
