This family now has a home that allows all the children to be reunified with their disabled father. The father suffers from MS and needs the use of a wheelchair and adaptations in the house to help him be mobile and independent. The oldest sister was previously the placement for her younger brothers but they are now all able to be under on roof with their new house. Unfortunately, all the adaptations on the house and the new wheelchair for the father have caused some financial difficulties. This family needs help with bedding, clothes, and groceries. A Wal-Mart card would help support their needs. Three minor boy ages 4, 11 and 17

I am working with a mother of two children who is at risk for being evicted from her home. She just received an evivtion notice today which means she has 6 days to come up with funds to pay $750. She lost her job this week and is set to start a new job soon, therefore she is hopeful she can catch up. This family does not have a lot of outside support, so most likely if this is not paid they will be going to a shelter, one child was recently also diagnosed with autism, leaving it even harder for the child to go through hard changes. Any help paying this rent would keep this family safe.

A single mother and her 4 children recently had to move out of their previous apartment and into a new one and leave all of their belongings behind. Mom has been in the process of buying belongings and supplies for their new home, and even though she works full time, the family could greatly benefit from some help acquiring furniture and other household items, because of this completely fresh start. The family could really benefit from any furniture that is available, such as, a couch, table, dressers, beds, toys. The 14-year-old daughter loves hello kitty and is disappointed about losing her full-length mirror. The other daughter is 10 years old and loves anything pink and sensory toys or blankets. She also has two boys, ages 8 and 4. Both the boys love spiderman. Anything would be appreciated for this family.

This is a single mother who is currently studying to become a substance abuse counselor while also working in 2 jobs. She is raising her 18-month-old daughter who has autism and is not yet walking due to developmental delays related to her condition. We would like to request a Montessori-style toddler bed to support the child’s independence and comfort, as well as developmental items that may encourage and support walking. A loving family has recently taken in their son’s best friend to allow him a safe and stable environment to continue to learn and grow in. During this the family’s landlord has chosen to sell the home they live in and give them just 3 weeks to leave the property. This has left the family with few options for housing and little time to save for the costs of the move. While the family has found housing, we are asking for support with the move in costs and first month’s rent. This will help to ensure a continued safe and secure environment not only for the family but the new kinship child in their home. The family will be very appreciative of any support given.

A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.
