A local family lost everything they own in a recent house fire. They have found a new rental, but they lost everything in the fire and they are rebuilding from scratch. They have a seven-year-old daughter. This family is connected with the Sumter School District.

Mother of 3 in the district reached out for assistance, as the last few months have been rough for their family. Her fiancé was in a horrible car accident in late December and has just now started walking again. She has been taking care of him, her children, and then in January, she took in her newborn nephew so her sister did not put him up for adoption. She has requested help with household items such as laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, and toiletries. Also, any baby boy clothes from 12-24 months, size 4 diapers, and a gas card to assist with going back and forth to the city for appointments.

This single mother to a set of 13 year old twin girls, is having a difficult time providing a bed for one of her daughters. Her one daughter has been sleeping on a broken couch for some time now. She is in need of a twin sized mattress, bed frame, bedding(purple is her favorite color), and a pillow.

We have a 4th grade boy (age 9) in our school district who is in need of clothes and shoes. The child's mother has struggled to find consistent work, and they are currently living with the child's grandmother. The child is wearing clothes that were purchased last school year that are too small for him. He is also in need of hygiene items. The family is struggling and would greatly appreciate any assistance for the child in the home. We are requesting shirts (size Youth X-Large), pants (size 14 Boys), shoes (size 6), and hygiene items.

This family consists of a mom and her two children. The family is currently residing in a home not suitable for the mom and her children. The family is requesting financial assistance of $1800 towards the security deposit needed to move into the new apartment. Mother reports she is trying to move by the 1st or 15th of April.

Recently, this mother made the courageous decision to leave a long-term, mentally abusive marriage to seek a better environment and home for her 11-year-old son and herself. She has also started taking college classes to get her degree to provide future support. She is participating in Pathway's DivorceCare where she is building supportive relationships as she starts this new journey with her son. She is moving into her own apartment and is needing some essential items. Their favorite color is any color of blue. Her son is also a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Her bedroom set is the queen size and his is the full size.

A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.
