We have a teen that is aging out of foster care. He is doing an amazing job trying to navigate his way into adulthood. He has been in care for 10 years of his life. He is currently living on his on for the first time and is in extended foster care. This youth is in need of a couch and a dinette set. This youth is polite, never in trouble, and is trying to complete his high school diploma. He is on track to graduate. Right now he is feeling overwhelmed. The help from the care portal would allow him to take one more thing off of his plate and relieve stress while he is trying to navigate completing school.

The referred family is requesting assistance obtaining furniture for their family. The mother and her four children are leaving an ongoing domestic violence relationship with the children’s father. The family has a restraining order in place.

The family resides in a 3 bedroom and 1.5-bathroom home. The home is not fully furnished, with one room being barren. Family is of limited means, as mother is unemployed and the sole caretaker of the children, which has made it difficult financially to replace the mattresses. The mother is requesting assistance in obtaining a queen-sized mattress, bed frame and if possible, a kitchen dining table and dresser would be appreciated. The mattress and bed frame are the family's priority items request. Family is willing to take donations from any organizations. The mother would be appreciative of any help and want to explore all options to make their children as comfortable as possible.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.

There is a family within our church who is changing their housing situation. They need help with their water deposit to insure their housing situation.

Hello, I am wondering if you can donate a food gift card to our family of 5. Yes we do go to local food banks frequently however my wife just recently went through a very traumatic pregnancy and our son arrived 6 weeks early and spent 5 in the NICU and we were driving 40 miles to and from the hospital.
