One of our young couples is separating and we want to help this dad out! He is a great father but recently lost his job and last month couldn't pay the bills. We are trying to increase his ability to have custody of the girls, but last week wasn't able to even afford groceries for himself. We want to get him back on his feet and have his space be a place that is safe and prepared to have his girls with him! One of our young couples has split up and we are trying to create safe environments for both of them and to house their two kids in this tough transition. To be able to pay the bills they are switching schools for their youngest (a huge transition with a house move and school move) and need a few items for her preschool. They are also all sharing a twin bed and could use another twin mattress. One of the daughters lost all her sweaters in the move. She is requesting gray, black, or purple Size ⅞. shoes size 10 kids. Night lamp for kids room.

Recently, two children were placed in the care and custody of Children's Division due to significant concerns. The grandmother in this case has graciously agreed to be placement for these two babies. Unfortunately, she has only one vehicle that does not have a bunch of space for two babies, as both the car seats will not fit in the back seat while she has to drive the car. (18-month-old and 3-month-old) This family does not have any additional supports that can assist them and the grandmother has graciously decided to keep placement of these babies in order for them to remain together with family and not be separated after the trauma they have already endured. Children's Division is requesting assistance in getting this grandmother a different vehicle in order for her to be able to transport these children to doctor appointments and meet their other needs. A need for $6000 has been entered; however, I am uncertain the amount of money that might be needed to meet this request.

The client is a hardworking grandmother who became the full-time guardian of her grandchild after the child’s mother passed away. With no strong support system in Florida, she works full-time and commutes by bus while her car is in the shop—all to provide stability and care. Her grandchild, a middle school Honor Roll student, is in urgent need of a laptop to keep up with schoolwork. Their only computer is old and too expensive to repair. The grandmother is also actively involved in the Triple P Program, showing her dedication to parenting and growth. A new laptop would make a world of difference, giving this bright student the tools they need to succeed. Additional items requested: Tops size XL (any price, adequate to wear at school and Sundays), Pants size 16 sweat pants; jeans size 16-18 (also no price specified). Shoes 8.0 wide tennis shoes. This request is for a single mother of 4 children (4M, 10M, 14F, 17F) and her elderly mother. Mother works full time while the grandmother helps with the care of the children. The children’s father’s do not assist with child support or care for any of the children. The home was found in hoarder condition; however, the family has made improvements since the initial visit. They are still in need of a dumpster haul to take trash away out their property. They need a dryer to do laundry due to the one that they had stopped working. This will help maintain laundry needs met for the family. A dining table with chairs would be helpful as well. This will give the family a place to eat their food and spend quality time together. Right now, they use buckets and two chairs they found to sit and have dinner. Due to the amount of cleaning, they have done the family noticed a problem with spiders around the house. The mother has done her best to kill them, but they are still very visible. An exterminator can be helpful eliminate all spiders. This will give the family a fresh start to be able to maintain clean and organized safe environment. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A grandmother who is welcoming her 2-year-old grandson into her care is in need of assistance with the security deposit for a new apartment. This little one had previously been living in another kinship placement and has now been placed with his grandma. At just 2 years old, this child has already experienced a great deal of transition. Providing him with a stable, loving home is absolutely essential to his development and well-being. Children at this age need consistency, safety, and nurturing relationships to begin forming healthy attachments and to feel secure in the world around them. This apartment would give both grandma and her grandson a fresh start—a safe, stable environment where they can begin to create a sense of home and routine. It’s more than just housing; it’s a critical step toward healing, stability, and long-term success for this little one. Let’s come together to support this kinship placement and help lay a strong foundation for their future.

She's single, has 2 jobs, 2 kids. She will be moving into an apartment in the next few weeks and has assistance in doing that. She recently got into a car accident due to the fault of the person who ran rear ended her. The other driver was taken under arrest because he was under the influence of narcotics. Her son was sick and in the hospital for a few days in a row and she could not work during those days. She is behind on money because of those days she could not work. She is $286 short on her rent at Extended Stay.

Mom needs two twin-size bed frames, mattresses, and bedding sets for her son and daughter.

JD knows of a woman who needs help with a hearing aid deductible. He tried to receive assistance through Passport but was denied through two different programs. Her deductible is $250. She lives in Pickerington and I have her name, address and phone number on hand.

We have an opportunity to help a large family through a really tough time. Thanks to our general fund donors, we were able to purchase the dishwasher.
