A devoted and loving aunt has stepped up to care for her sixteen-year-old nephew, who is facing legal challenges in Cleveland, Ohio. Despite the difficulties, she has embraced this responsibility with an open heart, doing everything she can to support him. However, the journey has been overwhelming.

Living on a fixed income, she also cares for her fifteen-year-old son and supports her husband, who is on SSDI. The financial strain has been immense, especially with the unexpected costs of traveling between Columbus and Cleveland for her nephew’s juvenile court hearings and mandated legal appointments. To cover these expenses, she had to use the funds she had set aside for rent.

Now, as April’s rent of $1,500—plus a $50 late fee—comes due, she finds herself in urgent need of support. She is doing her best to provide a stable, loving home for her nephew and family, but she has limited resources to lean on. Any assistance would be deeply appreciated as we continue to explore community resources to help her through this challenging time.

Family consists of a young mom, her boyfriend and 2 children ages 4 yrs old and 6 months old. Due to safety concerns with family members, mom and her small family had to move out of maternal grandmothers home. Mom and her boyfriend have been able to successfully obtain an apartment of their own. The family is in need of household items for the home as they are moving in with only beds for themselves and the children. The boyfriend works but is the only income in the home.

Hello, I am reaching out as I am the caseworker working with a youth(12 years old) and his father. His father has been struggling with homelessness and is currently working on securing a more permanent situation for him and his son. The youth lost his mother and his father is the sole provider. This father has recently found employment, but had to miss a couple days of work to go to court and take his son to the Doctor. He has been able to secure a motel now that he has been working, but because he has had to miss the last 2 days of work he cannot pay the $100 owed to the motel. If they do not pay the $100 today, they will be forced to check out and sleep in their vehicle. There is also the chance this youth may end up back in foster care. Please consider supporting in assisting the family in the $100 needed to prevent them from having to sleep in their vehicle.

These grandparents took in their 3 year old grandson to avoid him being placed in Foster care. Grandma is taking 3 month of work off unpaid to get him settled in his new environment before putting him in day care. Kiddo came with just the clothing he had on and they were able to get a few things at good will but he is in need of new clothes and shoes urgently. Grandma reports that he has never had new clothes and the ones they did receive from parents are ways to small for R. We are asking for a gift card to target or Ross so that Grandma Can get R some new clothes and shoes since he will be moving in with them permanently.

This family now has a home that allows all the children to be reunified with their disabled father. The father suffers from MS and needs the use of a wheelchair and adaptations in the house to help him be mobile and independent. The oldest sister was previously the placement for her younger brothers but they are now all able to be under on roof with their new house. Unfortunately, all the adaptations on the house and the new wheelchair for the father have caused some financial difficulties. This family needs help with bedding, clothes, and groceries. A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.
