A newly licensed family has taken long-term placement of a youth who recently turned 18. He has been in foster care for most of his life, but has not been able to find stable placement. As he is getting very close to aging out, he desperately wants to gain the skills needed to succeed in adulthood. One of those skills is learning to drive. He has never driven a car but wants to learn. His placement would love to enroll him in a certified course so he can check that skill off his list! They have been able to help him get enrolled in other programs to support his goals, but the driver's course is beyond their means at this time. Please consider supporting this youth in gaining independent living skills.

Single mother of 2 children in foster care, is trying to reunify with her children. She is in need of a bus pass that will allow her to go to work and attend her court dates, visitation and attend other important meetings related to her DCFS case. This mom will benefit greatly if she could get a bus pass for half of May and the full month of June.

Family is in process of regaining custody of children and is need of gas assistance to help with employment

Three children came into care with very little belongings, due to homelessness, the children are in need of clothing.

Male 15 pants 33x30, large shirts in men, large boxers, socks (shoe size is 8 1/2) Male 13 pants 16 to 18 medium shirt, medium boxers, socks (shoe size 7 1/2) Female 11 pants 10 to 12, shirts medium, underwear 10-13 and socks

The home also requested for an extra tv if at all possible so they do not have to share one tv, and a bigger couch so everyone can sit together as a family at their placement.

Good morning Care portal, DCCCA and a beautiful family is in need of your support. We have a baby in dear need of Similac blue label, her mother and the children enter our treatment center. Our case worker has helped with scheduling a Wic appointment for future needs. Currently we would love to receive 2 to 3 cans of the baby formula to aid till the upcoming appointment comes. A mom we are serving through mentorship just had her second baby, she has a 6 year old who is on the spectrum. She had the baby over a month early, everyone is healthy but baby is still in the NICU for now. They are in need of some supplies. Mom was working as a security guard but does not have any benefits with her job so has no income currently until she is healed and ready to return to work. She lives with her mother who also works but struggling to keep up with only one income for now. With baby arriving early, they are in need of tiny sized clothes for him as well as some other items. This family has been working with Better Together through the mentorship program and has been able to obtain many things they were needing but lacking a few items. She is in need of diapers in size preemie or newborn, larger sizes can be grown into. Preemie or newborn size clothes, 0-3 months is swimming on him right now! Baby hats, socks, mittens---due to his size, he's having a harder time regulating body temperature. Preemie bottles, Dr Brown makes a special bottle for preemie babies. She is also in need of baby laundry detergent (Dreft). As well as a queen size bedding set for mom.

I would like to say “thank you” on behalf of my family. Whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated. I know that this is a temporary situation because I will be back in the workforce as soon as we get the support we need to get going. My story is long, but I will make it as concise as possible. When I got married to my wife, she had a boy, whom I love dearly. He is on the autism spectrum. I bring him up because everything that is going on is hardest on him. I had a job selling cars, and I made many sales, but what was promised was not paid. I lost several months giving my all to a job that did not cover my bills. I got a new job driving a school bus. At that time, we were living in my father’s house. That’s when the twins arrived. This was too much for him. He was always in a bad mood. His temper always got the better of him. We were afraid for the babies. M and J were afraid to be there when I wasn’t there, and I was afraid for them. One night he just cam in to the room screaming at my wife saying what s going on since the babies were crying and Meghan was getting frustrated with the babies he seemed like he was ready to hit one of us how angry he seemed .at the the time we were holding the babies I had to make a hard decision to keep my family safe cause it would of just gotten worse. We left to stay at a friend’s house, where we are now....but we have to leave very soon. Now we have no income and no savings. Thank you again for listening and all of your help.

Hungry Hearts Kitchen Ministry is seeking donations to help with the purchase of groceries to supply 4 families with a hot meal. These families are either involved in foster care or in the midst of some difficult life circumstance. Would you be willing to contribute? Always looking for volunteers as well. Isaiah 58: 10-14 “Feed the hungry and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be bright as noon.”

Single mom is trying to move into a home of her own after staying in a shelter with her three children is seeking a few items for the household. Items needed include a microwave, table, toddler bed and a couch. She is incredibly appreciative of the help that has provided already from Pathway Church but these few items would greatly improve the quality of life and well being of her family as they settle into a new life. Gently used items would be wonderful or donation!

Please help a single father and two children currently living out of their van. The van has been the father’s only means of work. To make matters worse the van is currently broke down and needing a new transmission. We are asking for funds to get the van running and to provide groceries for this family.
