Mother of 4 children recently moved in with family in the area to escape a domestically violent relationship. All 4 children currently have head lice. The mother has Medicaid, but it will not cover the lice treatment that she needs. The lice issue is recurrent and causing the children to miss a great deal of school. End of Grade/Milestone testing is this week and the children desperately need to be in attendance each day. The mother needs 4 lice kits (Super Lice) as soon as possible so that the children can return to school.

The family consists of mother, who is on medical leave as she is due to have a child in the next few weeks, and five children. The children's ages are 13, 11, 9, 8, and 5. The family has a need of three twin beds. The oldest child has mental disabilities that are being treated, but has ruined some of her siblings beds. The family is on a wait list for new beds, but has heard that they will most likely not receive anything for 18 months. Because mother is currently on medical leave, she cannot afford to buy more beds for the other children. When the family receives the beds, it will help the mother relax as she gets closer to her due date and not have to make her other children sleep more than one to a bed.

Grandmother moved to Toledo from Michigan and she lost all of her and her granddaughters belongings after she lost her storage unit. She lives in an apartment right now but is looking to move into a mobile home soon. The apartment she has does have some furnishings but she is not allowed to take any of the items with her with she moves.

We are involved with the family due to mother's substance use. There are two children involved; 16 yo female and 11 yo female. The 16-year-old was placed in kinship with her good friend's mother. Kinship is a waitress at a local restaurant and makes a little over $3.00 hour plus tips. Kinship is able to make ends meet, but is struggling initially until she can get everything child needs. Kinship and child would benefit from some groceries for the household to help get them a running start to succeed with placement. Also, kinship's window air conditioner went out and although it's not summer yet, this is an expense that would take from kinship's income to replace and she is not wanting to do this until all other expenses are taken care of. They would greatly appreciate any help offered with this.

A single mother with a 5-month-old baby is in urgent need of financial assistance to cover the cost of critical dental work. She requires 16 tooth extractions and top and bottom dentures, which will significantly improve her quality of life. Despite diligently researching and securing the lowest possible price, the total cost remains around $2,000. She is working hard to save $1,000 on her own but needs help raising the remaining half. This dental care is vital not only for her health—addressing pain and preventing further complications—but also for her ability to care for her baby. With restored oral health, she will be better equipped to eat properly, maintain her energy, and focus on building a brighter future for herself and her child. This support will provide her with the opportunity to thrive as a mother and role model for her baby.

A single Mom of two and expecting in August, was recently left on her own. She is struggling to pay all the bills herself and is short on April rent by $550 and utilities by $200. We have some ideas of some programs to assist her with funding and case management wrap around services going forward, but need to cover April in full before May hits. Any amount is appreciated. Several of the families dining chairs have broken or are not safe for use. Family is being reunited and has a new home. Working on gathering things to make it feel more like a home and help them get back on their feet. Starting with the beds. I have a full size bed for mom, but looking for twin size beds for each of the two boys. Mom has asked for pillows and I would love to find them bedding as well. Boys are into Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog but anything blue would work.

The mother has been a constant source of support, providing food and childcare assistance to local churches, always giving selflessly to others.
