The family (mother, 3 children, grandmother, and mother's boyfriend) relocated to a new home after a period of unstable housing. The family had to leave property due to issues with pests at the former home and a contaminated storage. The family is now in housing which is stable and are trying to rebuild. The children do not have any current beds and they have relied on making pallets on the floor. The family did have some comforters, blankets and pillows they were utilizing for the pallets. The mother is on a limited income and advised it will just take time to rebuild and refurnish the home. The mother was wanting assistance to procure beds for the children. There at 3 total children (2 girls and 1 boy). The female children share a bedroom and the male child had his own room. Twin size of full size would accommodate the children's approximate size.

The beds/bedding would ensure the children are able to get more restful sleep, help establish a feeling of security in the new home, and potentially improve some issues with attendance that the children had been struggling with.

I was able to locate mattresses and frames through Walmart which was below the estimated costs regarding the family's needs. Cost can be minimized with less thick mattresses and metal bedframes. The mother is just wanting to get them off the floors.

Two children residing with their father full time who is trying to get back on his feet. The children sleep in his bed, couch or on the one twin bed they currently have. Having a bunk bed would help establish a bedtime routine for the 5 year old and 10 year old in the home. Family can repurpose the current twin mattress they already have to use on the bunk bed and therefore only need 1 twin mattress.

We have a family here in Bedford that is currently residing at the Bedford Motel due to their home situation that became dangerous and they had to flee at a moments notice. They were able to cover 2 weeks worth of stay at the Bedford Motel but have been looking for housing that is within their budget. A trailer has become available but money is already tight, let alone paying for a first months rent, security deposit and a $300 water deposit. She has been reaching out for financial assistance within the community but continues to come up short and is seeking any kind of help to cover the water deposit. If this need is met, not only will the mother and daughter have stable housing but they will be in a safe environment where they can attend school/work without additional stressors.

The department is working with a single mother who is desperately needing a new car seat for her 9 month old child. Unfortunately, all the mother has for her son currently is his infant car seat that he is quickly outgrowing. This single mother is in need of a convertible car seat that can be rear and forward facing and could grow with him as he continues to develop appropriately. I am certain this natural mother will accept any and all assistance offered to her at this time. I have a youth who is aging out of care in June, and their placement has put in a notice that she needs to leave by May. The youth has found an apartment, but the deposit is $1,300 and she needs help paying it. The youth also has a toddler aged child.

This request is for a Summit family in need of some assistance. A single mom with 5 kids is moving into a new home. The purchase of the home along with expensive closing costs have made furnishing the home extremely difficult. In addition to the needs list, they could use bedding for each bed. This request is for a family with 3 children, one of the children is an adoptive placement. This family needs 6 dining chairs. Several of the families dining chairs have broken or are not safe for use. Family is being reunited and has a new home. Working on gathering things to make it feel more like a home and help them get back on their feet. Starting with the beds. I have a full size bed for mom, but looking for twin size beds for each of the two boys. Mom has asked for pillows and I would love to find them bedding as well. Boys are into Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog but anything blue would work.
