There are three children in this family. They are all in high school. Their mom is currently receiving treatment for substance abuse and is out of the home. A friend of the family is watching the three children while mom is receiving help to become a better mother to her children. Mom made sure that everything was set up before she went into treatment which was not an easy feat due to her being a single mother. The family friend is selflessly helping this family out but it is a lot for one person to take on. The children could benefit from $350 to go toward groceries to help them secure food and security in their current situation. They are appreciative for anything they get. One of the children is working after school to help make ends meet at this point and it would help her to be able to put money toward other bills in the home.

The family is in need of $100 to make their rent payment. The family has a young adult with a significant disability. They rely on the support of disability income, but funds are very tight, and they struggle to make ends meet each month. This month was especially difficult because the young adult with the disability was involved in a phishing scam that lost the family additional money. They previously experienced homelessness, so mom is very conscientious about paying rent on time, and they are able to maintain stable housing. They are also reliant on food pantries to make ends meet for groceries. This $100 would guarantee a roof over their head for the next month and a safe place for mom and the student to live. If they are provided with groceries as well, that would help alleviate the financial strain.

Single parent, due to loss of transportation was let go from store employment and is behind on rent. 5 children, ages 4, 13, 15, 16 and 17. Apartments has not had AC fixed in three weeks and just today inspector came to help them order the repair. She was able to pay partial rent and owes a balance 698.00 after going to court and given an opportunity due to A/C as well.. Any amount to assist will be helpful to the family that has been enduring difficult days with warm weather. Also, the parent, and older siblings are all looking for employment. We are meeting monday to help with Texas Workforce and resume writing.

Mother has found a place in a brand new transitional housing. She is need of beds for her children to prepare for overnight visits when approved. Mother is alo in need of a bed for herself. Having these items will assist in getting the home approved by social worker when the walk through inspection takes place. Thank you.

Single mom with two young kids engaged at HELP just moved into a safe place and can use some household items

A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.

There is a family within our church who is changing their housing situation. They need help with their water deposit to insure their housing situation.
