A student is expecting a baby in the next couple of months and is having some trouble gathering some of the necessary supplies. We have been able to supply her with clothing, but she is still in need of a car seat and a stroller. Ideally, we are hoping to be able to get her a car seat/stroller combo suitable for an infant. To quote one of the school social workers, a stroller would be "lifechanging" for this young woman, and will hopefully ensure she stays on track and welcomes her baby in a stress-free environment!

There is a widow within our congregation that recently had hip surgery and has transitioned back to her apartment. She is currently doing in-home rehab and is slowly gaining movement with her legs. She is in need of a transfer bench for bathtub shower chair. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Single mom of 4 kids; mom and dad are not together but up until recently they were co-parenting well and sharing expenses well. Dad has not been helping mom with the car payment as agreed upon. Mom is one month behind on the payment and is not sure how she will get caught up. Mom needs a safe mode of transportation to get the kids to/from school and herself to/from work. Total due is $631.

A family of 3 is in need of pest control services in the house they recently moved into. A single mom of two young student is fighting the battle of bed bugs and roaches after moving into a new home after living in a motel long-term. The family is experiencing financial hardship after costs associated with moving and utility deposits, they are not able to afford these services on their own. We are asking for the costs of these services to be covered to improve the wellbeing of the students' home life and to keep the bugs from spreading to other students within the school. A local pest control company went out and quoted the following: Bed Bugs Services (Initial) $380 Bed Bug Services (Second Treatment) $190 Roaches $50 each treatment (2 needed) to bed bug service

A grandmother who is welcoming her 2-year-old grandson into her care is in need of assistance with the security deposit for a new apartment. This little one had previously been living in another kinship placement and has now been placed with his grandma. At just 2 years old, this child has already experienced a great deal of transition. Providing him with a stable, loving home is absolutely essential to his development and well-being. Children at this age need consistency, safety, and nurturing relationships to begin forming healthy attachments and to feel secure in the world around them. This apartment would give both grandma and her grandson a fresh start—a safe, stable environment where they can begin to create a sense of home and routine. It’s more than just housing; it’s a critical step toward healing, stability, and long-term success for this little one. Let’s come together to support this kinship placement and help lay a strong foundation for their future.

Mom needs two twin-size bed frames, mattresses, and bedding sets for her son and daughter.

JD knows of a woman who needs help with a hearing aid deductible. He tried to receive assistance through Passport but was denied through two different programs. Her deductible is $250. She lives in Pickerington and I have her name, address and phone number on hand.

We have an opportunity to help a large family through a really tough time. Thanks to our general fund donors, we were able to purchase the dishwasher.
