The home has been without heat since last night. The only source of heat in the home is a oil furnace. There is a disabled person in the home and two children. The household has limited income coming in and has some extra expenditures lately due to unforeseen circumstances. The family is needing enough oil to make it through the cold spell right now due to below freezing temperatures at night sporadically over the next few weeks.

Support a great aunt provide her kinship children with an improved sleeping situation. This family of four recently moved into a home large enough to accommodate them all. At the same time, the family is experiencing an unexpected medical expense for the oldest child in the home. After having to pay out of pocket for the medical expense, travel for treatment, and accomodations for their stay, the caregiver is coming up short on funds she needs to finish furnishing the children's' bedroom. We are requesting assistance for a full over full sized bunk bed and new full sized mattresses. Due to the ages and behaviors of the children, this caregiver would prefer a bunk bed with tall railings on the top bunk and an attached ladder.

I have a female student who is in need of size 10 jeans. She shared with me that she is down to two pairs of pants that fit and her favorite pair just got a hole in them and they are now unwearable. We are fortunate to have a clothes closet here at school that she utilizes often, but there weren't any pants in her size. Working toward the goal is reunification, the mother has made progress towards the goal. Little girl 1 y/o is one of three children. The mother’s visits have recently been changed to unsupervised. The mother is allowed to sign the child out from day care for her visits. It was reported by the daycare that the first day the mother signed the child out she was observed walking with the child in the parking lot without holding the child’s hand. The staff informed the mother to hold the child hand as there are cars going in and out constantly. The mother reported that she needs a stroller for her visits/ and upon reunification. The mother reported that she only works part time at Publix and does not have the funds to afford a stroller as she also must pay child support with her dependency case which she purchases clothing/ diapers and wipes for the child. The mother would be grateful for any additional helps she receives.

A grandmother who is welcoming her 2-year-old grandson into her care is in need of assistance with the security deposit for a new apartment. This little one had previously been living in another kinship placement and has now been placed with his grandma. At just 2 years old, this child has already experienced a great deal of transition. Providing him with a stable, loving home is absolutely essential to his development and well-being. Children at this age need consistency, safety, and nurturing relationships to begin forming healthy attachments and to feel secure in the world around them. This apartment would give both grandma and her grandson a fresh start—a safe, stable environment where they can begin to create a sense of home and routine. It’s more than just housing; it’s a critical step toward healing, stability, and long-term success for this little one. Let’s come together to support this kinship placement and help lay a strong foundation for their future.

Mom needs two twin-size bed frames, mattresses, and bedding sets for her son and daughter.

JD knows of a woman who needs help with a hearing aid deductible. He tried to receive assistance through Passport but was denied through two different programs. Her deductible is $250. She lives in Pickerington and I have her name, address and phone number on hand.

One of our foster families is in need of some help with a few small handyman projects around the house like installing locks/deadbolts, unbolting a desk from a wall in the nursery, and patching holes. This will help them prepare for their newborn coming in just a few weeks.
