One Muskingum County Kinship family is in need of financial assistance for vehicle parts that will allow them to do much needed repairs to their family vehicle. Fortunately, the caregiver's mechanical experience will allow them to do the repairs themselves, however, the cost is beyond their current financial means after having to also replace their washer recently. The vehicle serves as their main means of transportation as it can accommodate their entire family. The cost of needed vehicle parts is $655, however, any amount of assistance towards the cost is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration for this family.

He is preparing to attend college this fall to pursue his dream of becoming a graphic designer and filmmaker. He has shown an unwavering determination to follow his passion for art and storytelling. He has a genuine desire to create meaningful, impactful art that speaks to the issues and disparities he sees in the world around him. He wants to use his work to give voice to the people and causes that need to be heard, and to inspire others with stories that matter.

Due to the elimination of the mobile and the direct food distribution food sources, the McKinney Vento Team is making food boxes for families experiencing homelessness. The list we have provided is designed to help eliminate the need of a stove or refrigerator. We are looking for snacks and microwave items only. Examples ar e listed below. Items can be dropped of at the Dome (700 S. Limestone St) or we can pick up if needed.

A family is in need of assistance

Two young boys, ages 16 and 13 years old, were living with their maternal grandmother. Their father passed away when they were young and their mother's whereabouts are unknown. The grandmother recently passed away and the boys have been taken in by their uncle as he prefers they stay with family. He has opened up his small apartment to provide a stable home for them. At this time the boys are sharing a full size mattress on the floor. The boys are in need of their own beds. Additionally, they are in need of clothing for the boys as they were not able to retrieve all their items from their grandmother's place.

There is a family that just moved here including a mother, her three children, mom's sister (aunt to the children), and mom's mother (grandmother to the children). The mother and aunt are both working, however, with the situation they left from, they were not able to take any of their belongings. The home they are staying in has absolutely no furniture. The adults in the home speak Swahili, so there is a bit of a language barrier. There is one hard mat on the living room floor where they sit and sleep. This request is to get some beds in the home along with furnishings for the beds, and at very least a table and chairs for the family to have a place to sit.

Recently, this mother made the courageous decision to leave a long-term, mentally abusive marriage to seek a better environment and home for her 11-year-old son and herself. She has also started taking college classes to get her degree to provide future support. She is participating in Pathway's DivorceCare where she is building supportive relationships as she starts this new journey with her son. She is moving into her own apartment and is needing some essential items. Their favorite color is any color of blue. Her son is also a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Her bedroom set is the queen size and his is the full size.

The washer & dryer can be used ones that are in good working condition. Thanks for supporting this family!

A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.
