A young expectant couple has recently moved into their new apartment and is preparing to welcome a baby boy. While they’re excited for this next chapter, they’re facing financial hardship that makes it difficult to gather essential baby items. They are in need of a car seat for safe transportation, baby clothes made from cotton or bamboo—materials that align with their vegan values—and glass baby bottles to avoid using plastic. They are also hoping for reusable cloth diapers, which better match their commitment to sustainability and their lifestyle.

The family recognizes these requests may seem specific, but they come from a place of care and concern for their child’s health and the environment. One of the fathers currently walking through our programming at Next Chapter Reentry Project has been faithfully spending time with his young daughter each week, working to build a stronger bond and be the dad she deserves.

As part of this journey, he's also doing his best to meet her everyday needs. He recently reached out for support in providing some basic necessities for her — specifically clothing (including socks), food, and diapers for an 18–24 month old.

One Muskingum County Kinship family is in need of financial assistance for vehicle parts that will allow them to do much needed repairs to their family vehicle. Fortunately, the caregiver's mechanical experience will allow them to do the repairs themselves, however, the cost is beyond their current financial means after having to also replace their washer recently. The vehicle serves as their main means of transportation as it can accommodate their entire family. The cost of needed vehicle parts is $655, however, any amount of assistance towards the cost is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration for this family.

Recently, this mother made the courageous decision to leave a long-term, mentally abusive marriage to seek a better environment and home for her 11-year-old son and herself. She has also started taking college classes to get her degree to provide future support. She is participating in Pathway's DivorceCare where she is building supportive relationships as she starts this new journey with her son. She is moving into her own apartment and is needing some essential items. Their favorite color is any color of blue. Her son is also a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Her bedroom set is the queen size and his is the full size.

A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.
